Re: After what time is it ok to use your powerwasher on the weekend?

My rule of thumb is 8 am on weekdays, 9 am on weekends. However, I wouldn't be annoyed if a neighbor started work earlier, unless it was something ridiculous like 6:30/7 am.
Me too. I'm happy when people are taking the time to up keep their homes and keeping the neighborhood nice.
total opposite, I do and would get pissed if and when people start too early, its a quality of life code for a reason, we live in the suburbs were the weeks are meant for peace and relaxation.
I get up early too and feel my day if over by mid AM but I am respectful for those in my neighbor and would wish/hope they did the same :)

Re: After what time is it ok to use your powerwasher on the weekend?
I am laughing at all those who chose after 10 am
If people had to wait until 10 am to start mowing their lawns or using loud machinery so as to not disturb their neighbors, it would mean having the work continue straight through dinner time when the same people would then complain it was disturbing their meal time.
To answer the question 8 am is fair game for Saturday mornings and 9 am on Sundays. I feel like there are a bit more people who have the day off on Sunday and like to just relax and lay in bed a bit longer. Saturday just seems more active in the mornings as far as people being out early versus Sunday.

After what time is it ok to use your powerwasher on the weekend?
Not really sure what the code is but this Sunday I was outside at 815 cutting my trees down by hand. Trimming the branches and what not, all by hand. At 9 when I heard chainsaw a few blocks over I went looking for some power tools and could not find what I needed, so I went back to doing it by hand.

It amazes me how early people like to start shit. On weekends we like to ass sit from the time we get up - which could be pretty early, until we have to take DD to gymnastics at 10 am.
Sundays we ass sit even longer.
I am NOT a morning person.
LOL
O M F G!! @ ass sit.

Personally I wouldn't feel comfortable making noise like that until after 9 at the earliest... I'd feel I was disturbing someone. But it doesn't matter to me when others do it because we're always up by 7 (not by choice.. toddlers)

I am the exact opposite!! I am usually out of bed by 6. I then go to the gym at 7 and I am home by 8:30. It actually annoys me that they gym opens so "late".

8:00 or later doesn't bother me.
But what does bother me is my neighbor's dog barking right outside my bedroom window at all hours of the night. 11pm, 1am, 5am, whenever the hell she wants

HAH! Ass sitting!
This is me, I'm a huge fan of ass sitting on weekend mornings. Not a morning person either.
DH is a crazy person who likes to get up at 5am to go to the gym every day but even he thought a powerwasher at 8:30am was annoying. It seems we're in the minority though as far as this group goes.
