What are you putting in your elementary age child's Easter Baskets?
Just looking for some ideas.
I am avoiding jelly beans and any sticky candy this year since she had her first cavity and the dentist said she has some malformed enamel on her new molars that make them susceptible to decay. So we have to avoid anything sticky.
So maybe a chocolate bunny of some kind but I don't want to go overboard on candy. I got her some freeze dried fruit snacks- like the dehydrated strawberries, and some goldfish to put in there.
I also did some play doh eggs.
I got her a Trolls T shirt, trolls socks, a shopkins activity book, a few blind bags of things she likes (My Little Pony, Trolls, etc)
What else are you guys doing in the Easter baskets for kids around 6-7 and up?

My DD is 8. She loves to read and write so I'll probably put in a new journal and some cool pens, a new book, an Amazon gift card for her Kindle, the Trolls CD, a few cute things from Claire's like bracelets and hair ties, cute colorful socks, and candy.
We're going to Disney next month so I want to put a few things in there for our trip...........T-shirt, Minnie water bottle, Disney themed snacks, etc.

Re: What are you putting in your elementary age child's Easter Baskets?
There some new thing called a fitbit that I may be able to get for cheap and she just asked me for one so If I can get it she will get that. She is also into Project MC2 so I will get her a toy or two from that line. Was thinking maybe rollerbaldes. I usually get my kids outdoor stuff for easter.
They both have winter birthdays and I don't buy them things just to buy them stuff so I usually use easter as an oppurtunity to get them stuff for the summers.
Food wise we do candy but I also do chips or cookies in the basket.
My biggest issue this year is what I am putting in their eggs! I have to do two egg hunts one at our house and one at my parents

We don't do baskets. We will have an egg hunt with chocolate and a few gummy bears & bracelets. Chocolate bunny and peeps for the cousins. Cadbury eggs for each of us (my goodness, I love those!!!).
The best thing I've done was a butterfly kit. That's was a ton of fun and really Spring. Will do again... but not as part of basket.

My twins are 6 and my youngest is 4.5. I'm doing Bathing suits, beach towels, flip flops, sunglasses, hair accessories for DD, coloring books, a chocolate bunny, bubbles, chalk, some other little things from the target dollar section. I try and give them things that they need for the spring/summer so they always get a bathing suit and other beachwear in their baskets.

I bought some books from the book fair, a fidget spinner thing, also this egg cracking game from Target. It's water in the eggs...not real eggs I do minimal candy...1 huge chocolate bunny from 5 below...like over a foot tall for 5 bucks! They never seem to finish them, but for 5 bucks, I figured why not!
P.S. all the board games are buy 2 get 1 free at Target right now

Right now I have a couple of blind bags. I may get him a couple of t-shirts. And a little bit of candy.
I typically don't do much for Easter.

I didn't want to do a ton of small junk that I end up throwing out.
I got them: Hatchimal DVD Sun dress Book Bubbles Sandbox toy Troll Watch Chocolate Bunny
It's also my DDs birthday on Easter this year, so she will get an extra little gift from Easter Bunny - small necklace/bracelet set.

We are going to Punta Cana the day after Easter, so I am giving my 9 and 11yos snorkeling sets and flip flops. Also bath bombs and a pack of small fathead stickers.

My DD wants a Fairy Garden so I will probably get that. I do like the butterfly kit.
Can the PP that posted share a link or a store of where it was purchased?

Easy: Amazon. I got the Insect Lore one for $20 for my kids & my niece and nephew. It was a huge hit. You do have to pay for shipping (don't expedite... they come out just fine with regular shipping). With the kit, you get the cage and a voucher. We waited til warmer to order.
We let the butterflies loose as soon as they dried out and it was truly magical. The kids loved it. The butterflies landed on the kids when we released them and we had pictures that were truly amazing last year.
Will reorder this year... but are keeping it simple on Easter with chocolate bunnies (small Lindt ones), a Cadbury egg and a pack of peeps each.

Re: What are you putting in your elementary age child's Easter Baskets?
Some great ideas here thanks. I ended up getting her a book and a journal too- she isn't exactly a great writer yet, but she likes to doodle, draw, write, so I figure she can have her own little book for that stuff
I got some slime eggs- she is into that slime putty stuff all of a sudden. Some new play doh since she was complaining hers has all the colors mixed up Spring PJs Those plastic eggs with Shopkins in each one- she will LOVE that.
I want to get a few more things- maybe nail polish and lip gloss
