Would you like it if hair was a set length?

When I see pets, and I see that some cats and dogs have long hair, and some have really short hair, and even on humans, our eyebrows, eye lashes, and arm/leg hair doesn't grow beyond a certain length, I wonder about how that would be for human head hair.

Would you like it if the hair on your head was genetically predisposed to only be a certain length?

On the one side, you wouldn't need it cut if you liked that length. On the negative, you're stuck with that natural length, and would need extensions if you wanted it longer.

As a guy, I like that idea, but I can definitely see both sides of this hypothetical....

I think if that's just the way it is everyone would be used to the idea that your hair just won't grow past a certain length, but it would suck if you couldn't grow it past your ears - whether male or female. Short hair definitely doesn't look good on me and I'd hate being stuck with an unflattering length forever.

I would not like it. Since I style my hair more or less every day using heat, it needs a cut to freshen up the ends. If the option included no split ends/fly aways, I would be all for it assuming I was blessed with long hair!

I wouldn't like it. I like to go between long hair and very long hair, and extensions would be another thing to spend money on lol.

It's all hypothetical, so sure.
I've never seen a dog with split ends, so in this scenario, hair would also evolve the same way, and there wouldn't be split ends.

Well considering my own hair doesn't grow past a certain length, I pretty much already have this.

I can never grow my hair past my shoulders- it will grow and then break off at a certain length. Or the ends keep getting finer and finer so it doesn't even look as long as it is.

My only options is extensions.

I wouldn't like it... I change my hair on a whim; cut it, grow it out for a while, keep it long and then whack it off again... depending on my mood. I wouldn't want to keep it one way... its the thing I can change when I can't change everything!
