Re: Ipsy or Birchbox
I subscribed to both a few years ago and cancelled because I was just getting too much product piled up in my bathroom and only used 5% of the stuff I rec'd.
Between both, I would say Ipsy edges out BB only by a few points because Ipsy sends you a cute little bag in every shipment. Both will send you a mix of products, and I think BB always throws in a perfume/cologne sample.
I switched to Glossy Box after I cancelled and loved that one much more (they throw in a retail sized bottle of 1 product in every box and carry more "name brands" than Ipsy/BB which are uually companies I've never heard of (and may use questionable chemicals).
This blog has a good summary of all the boxes out there:

Re: Ipsy or Birchbox
Love my Ipsy.
I learned how to do reviews that helps cater to my needs in every bag. My last bag came with a large hair serum and Im happy.
I have free bags to give, For 1st month. if interested , FM email.
(PS I get nothing for that, I think I'm just a good customer :)

I was thinking of doing Sephora Play, as a few samples I have gotten in store, some I l love and end up buying. Does anyone have the Sephora subscription?

I do and I really like it. I've gotten things in the bags that I never would have known about, and use regularly.

Yup, I have the Sephora one and thats the only one I sub to now. I liked my last box, they sent a NARS lipstick that I ended up buying because it had better staying power than the drug store brands. No complaints!

Re: Ipsy or Birchbox
I have had Ipsy for several months and for the most part I like it. At first I was getting too many of those marker-like eyeliners in black- I got 3! So I emailed to tell them no more eyeliners. They are good that way. Now I have way too many brushes, but I like they they're receptive and I do like most of the products. And the bags are adorable- my DD is happy to take the few I don't want and they are useful.
I had Birchbox and I did like that too.

This is what has happened when I tried some samples. Never knew about certain product and loved it.
I just placed my order.
