Name help

So there are very few names that my husband likes. He's had his heart set on one. Thoughts on:

Lincoln Ryan? Or
Ryan Lincoln?

Or neither? Our last name is 2 syllables and begins w M.

I personally like Lincoln Ryan but that's because I prefer names that are a little different.

Me too.

So I would pick Ryan Lincoln of the two choices.

This. I don't love Lincoln as a name...but it's not my baby, it's yours to name! Go with what you love.

Just some unsolicited advice. My daughter's name is very unique. When I shared with people while pregnant or asked opinions it always left me second guessing everything and unsure. If you are going to go for a unique name you just need to pick it and OWN it. My Mother just recently admitted (2 years later) that she really loves DD's name and apologized for her initial reaction.

PS...For what it's worth, I really like the name Lincoln. There will be 3 Jacksons/Ryans/Ethans in his Kindy class but only one Lincoln! I say go for it!

THIS! As a mama to a boy with an extremely unique name, you just need to trust your gut and own it. It's a name that people aren't used to hearing and takes them a little to get used to, but once they do they say they love it and it's suits him perfectly. Not that I care anyway!

Yes I agree. My daughter's name is not common and I remember my future SIL telling me she did not like the name when I told her what girl name I was thinking of. I didn't care. BTW there was a boy named Lincoln in my son's class and I like the name!

Re: Name help

LOVE the name Lincoln! Lincoln Ryan is nice. And I know its a little different but I think its more common than people think (its #66 on the Social Security names list). We have a few boys in class with the same names, its nice to have something a little different!

Re: Name help

Ryan is one of my favorite boy names but I happen to like the way Lincoln Ryan sounds over Ryan Lincoln.
