he made my month!!!!!!

at work, we are doing a charity fundraising challenge to get people to get physically active. because of this, everyone is talking exercise.

i've been seriously thinking about doing something formal/structured for physical activity.

so, i called a co-worker (he's about mid-late 20s) over to my desk to look at a local gym i've been looking into - he's an exercise buff.

as we're talking i mention that my goal is to be healthy and strong, not necessarily to look a certain way. i said something along the lines about my 44th birthday being this coming may.

the kid's face almost hit the floor when he heard that lol
he said that i DID NOT look that old. i pointed at the picture of my son.
he kept saying how i do not look my age and he said something about me "wearing it well."

this kid TOTALLY made my MONTH!!

now i REALLY need to hit a gym and earn his reaction.

The med assistant at a new drs office yesterday was asking me what I did for a living. I told him and he asked me how long I've been doing it, I had to think. It's since I'm 17 so it'll be 23 years. He did a double take and looked at my file for my birthdate. He's like you're gonna be 40? I would have never guessed that.

I always love when people think my DH and I are the same age and I'm 9 years older. I love the look I get to give him when someone says it
