I wouldn't be pissed, but it's definitely rude and strange. How can they not even muster up a congratulations??? Just bizarre.

Thanks all. I am not pissed at the fact that they didn't get me a gift or throw me a celebration. It's the fact that they acknowledge a guy having a baby but not a woman.

Could you make a joke. Be like, "So, funny thing. I, too, had a baby."? Big smile.

What would they say? Are you comfortable enough with them?

That sucks. I had my first early and got nothing frommmh old job. They called but no flowers or visits. It was weird. So yeah I'd be mad.

I wouldn't care about a gift or flowers or anything but for them not to even acknowledge the birth is downright rude!!

That's really strange. So no one said "Welcome back! How's the baby? Let's see some photos." Even if they didn't give a gift, they should have acknowledged it.

So I'm not understanding. When you had the baby no one from work even congratulated you? And when you came back they didn't even say anything about it. You just came back like nothing happened? Are you friendly with anyone at work. The situation sounds very strange.
