cheaper Life Insurance
I just recently got a life insurance policy written with prudential and i feel like i am paying a lot per month.
i have full term and i am paying $45 a month
i am 41 years old, healthy etc
Is this alot?
can i shop?
how do you do that?

$250 K? $500 K?
That will make a difference in if that rate is good or not

I have the same amount of coverage.
I pay $69 every 3 months. (we pay quarterly) I had excellent health scores (don't ask me how, if you saw what I ate and how little I move around!  )
Mine is cheaper than my husband due to my medical tests being better than his.
I was about 39 or 40 when we got it.
We went through my BIL's agency- and they shopped us around for the best rates based on our medical test results.
I got into a lower priced company....I will find out the name and let you know.
ETA- The policy I have is through Liberty

Sounds high for the amount of coverage.
I have a 1 million policy and pay I think $465, less than $500 for sure, annually.
It's through Axa and I got it at 32 yrs old and fell into the top health category.

I pay about that (maybe a few dollars more) for double the coverage amount you have. I'm 38 and just got the policy this summer.

you should get some additional quotes. but make sure you are comparing apples to apples. some plans offer things that you may or may not be interested in, such as cash value. and some limit the amount of years you would pay into the plan. some may increase the premium if your health changes, etc.

I have a $1m policy, highest health class, early 30s and pay about $55/month

My husband and i pay $19 a month for the two of us. Luckily because hes the union member they count me as his age :) i have $150K and he has $250K that was the maximum
