My point, that everyone is missing and maybe I didn't make clear, is that if he can't even treat his own woman right, when, quite honestly, millions of people are watching, how do we all expect him to treat women and women rights?
THIS was the first thing I thought of when I saw this. I was annoyed that he could not even wait for her to come around the car before heading up the stairs.
He is a an awful human being and I will NEVER EVER understand how ANY woman can support him. EVER!

I saw this special on him on the History channel the other day and it was very telling. So he cheats on Ivana with Marla and then ends up getting her pregnant and they get married. Shortly into the marriage they are having all sorts of issues because she wants him to be a husband and father and spend time with the family and he is too busy working. They showed a clip of and interview with him shortly after the divorce from Marla where he admits his work and business come first. Matt Lauer asked him, "if you knew this, why did you get married?" He said, "well, everyone makes mistakes" Or something to that effect. Yet he goes out and marries for a THIRD time. Guess he didn't learn for that mistake. I don't get it. He clearly is not husband material- yet he keeps marrying these women.

But isn't that just as much on the women. As a woman I know what I expect from a man and I am very open about my expectations. If I see that a man can not meet them I need to move on.

I agree with you 100% . I hate to say it because I have no idea what goes on in people's relationships, but I feel like in his case, most of these women were gold diggers. I mean she is 46, he is 70, he is no great looker- she was a model. He is a billionaire and super famous. He doesn't treat women all that great from what we can see... Watching them interact, they don't SEEM very much in love- watching them dance at one of the balls the other night was absolutely painful. It kind of adds up

This is telling about Donnie's personality!
You know what wasn't most telling about his personality? When he said he could do anything to a woman, even grab her by the p*ssy.

Because they're conquests. Trophies. He's a disgusting old man and these younger beautiful women are interested in him for god knows what reason (money). Everything about him is a publicity stunt to feed his giant ego.

All he cares about is himself. He doesn't seem to give two shits about the Obamas, except to put on a facade, and certainly not his wife. How humiliating for her when he leaves her in the dust like that! I would die of embarrassment if I were her.
None of us could possibly know what needs of hers are being fulfilled in her relationship with the Don. But knowing him, I would go out on a limb and say it's not his affectionate, family oriented personality.

I have to agree. Yup 100%
That said, I do recall no one cared about Clinton's treatment of his wife and voted him in again. So I find it ironic all the ire now. Both are scum bags to me. A cheat is a cheat. But if you think that having your **** sucked off while in the white house and your wife is ok with it and the nation is too because it didn't affect your ability to be a President is horrible but if you are ok with it then I guess you can't really complain about a man who is obviously self centered. I can't say if his past cheating ways with his wives, who he divorced when he found something better, will affect his ability to be President. I mean I guess Clinton could have just divorced Hilary and kept moving on to each woman he porked (how many was it exactly?)... but would it have mattered?
I don't know.
But is DT absolute ********* for how he ignores his wife. Yes, I 100% agree with you. But it's not 'new'.
And another thing... I personally thought it was sweet she brought a gift for Michelle. I am a little bewildered everyone is giving her grief for it. I mean I know she probably didn't *have* to but she did, so what? I mean everyone talks about how gracious Michelle is but then we all want to laugh and point out how her facial expression. Man, not even *I* am willing to do that. I think they both handled it as well as they could. Michelle was polite and courteous. Melania seemed nervous and unsure but was doing her best to play her part. The face Michelle gave looked more like where do I put this?

Isn't it tradition for the incoming First Lady to bring a gift for the current First Lady? The video posted in the OP here shows Michelle bringing a gift for Laura Bush when they arrived for Obama's inauguration. I thought it was a tradition.

It isn't a tradition. Michelle was actually the first to do it.
Also, the media spun Michelle's reaction to the gift out of proportion. She accepted the gift from Melania and you could see that she said 'thank you' to her but you could not see her face since the camera was on her back.
Her facial expression was because when she turned around she realized there was no where to place it for the photo or anyone to take it from her. That is why Obama took it and ran it inside to an aide waiting in the corridor.

Yeah I had a feeeling that was just a quick capture of her face and not in reaction to the gift. She seems very gracious and classy, I doubt she would diss the gift with all those cameras present and eyes on her. I am sure if they snapped a picture of me at any given point in time, even if I was smiling a second earlier, they might get a stank face like that too!

I absolutely agree with this. I have no doubt Michelle was simply flustered trying to find a place to put the gift down so she wasn't holding it in the picture they were about to take. Michelle is a gracious and classy lady, and Melania did nothing wrong here. It's silly to make something out of this that wasn't really there.
