I am hopeful we can come together as a nation to ensure our rights are protected. Donald Trump is our President. No one wants the country to fail. It falls to us to do what we need to do. I have faith in us. I have faith in America.

Nah, I'm sort of at peace with it. I think all eyes will be on him and everything he and his admin does will be examined and scrutinized. More attention on politics. Good thing.

Honestly life goes on. I'm hopeful. I was in shock but now I've excepted this reality and I'm moving on. Dwelling on this and making it seem like we are all doomed Is only hurting yourself and your family.

The whole thing is just sad! I mean, I guess it's good you are at peace with it. Perhaps more truth should be spoken about it?
I guess when I say peace, I mean ..what else is there to do? He's there, he's in office. I started looking at it more objectively. I don't discount how others feel, though. I get why people are upset and I fully understand. I wish I could fix it for them. I'm trying to look at the good: More people will hopefully be involved in politics and maybe even throw their hat into the arena and run, either locally or further up.
It's nice to see young people involved in peaceful protests and organizing. We've had many good conversations this year on consent, women's rights, gay rights, Black Lives Matter, and so on. I think we are in a really tough time, but a time of revolution. I think we just have to walk through this and see what comes, you know?

Yeah. There's such a heaviness. It began to sink in with DeVos's confirmation hearings.
I am trying to research a Plan B, that if education is dismantled, because this would directly affect my job (I'm a librarian, I would be the first to go), and my son's education (special needs), we would move overseas where I still have family. My son's education is paramount, and I would move heaven and Earth to make sure it is the education he deserves.

After the election i felt shocked that he actually pulled it off. Today i feel optimistic and hopeful for the future.
