Back pain
Last week I stood up and my low back totally seized up on me. I took motrin and laid down most of the day and it got better. After a few days I was totally fine. Fast forward a week and it just happened again. Is this something I should see a doctor for at this point? I'm not thinking there's much they can do or even what type of doctor to see if at all.
Thankfully my 4yo was able to scramble up to the cabinet with the motrin for me. Debating whether to call my mil since my mom is out of town and I have two little ones to try to care for. Uggh, this sucks.

Re: Back pain
This has happened to me way too many times.
Go to a chiropractor. Reg dr might give u muscle relaxers and tell you to switch from heat to cold. But the fact that it went away and came back again, a chiro can help you out

Re: Back pain
Muscle relaxer was the only thing that worked for me.
Happened because I walked crooked and my back/pelvis was out of whack. Once I got my knees replaced and learned how to walk again, it hasn't happened since (knock wood).
Like PP said, a chiro may be able to help.

Back pain
Not a fan of muscle relaxers other than motrin. I took 800mg which has gotten me moving again some but there's still constant pain. My clean freak MIL is on her way while my kids slowly destroy the house so that should be mortifying. I'll look into the idea of a chiro though.

Re: Back pain
Your back muscles have seized up because they're "protecting" your spine. You could have a herniated or bulging disc and not know. Definitely see a chiro and get a sit down MRI to confirm. Use ice right now to help bring down the inflammation along with the motrin. Heat will just aggravate it more... even though heat feels good at the moment to relax the muscles.
I'm currently dealing with the same thing. HORRIBLE flare up that has me unable to do anything.
Good luck!

Hope you feel better quickly. The motrin is helping to where I can move around okay but even sitting or laying down I have constant aching.
