Any recommendations for a home surveillance system and does anyone have Ring?
There have been a rash of burglaries in my town. I have Slomins alarm system but I want to install video surveillance. Can anyone recommend theirs? It has to be wireless and easy to install because I will be doing it. DH thinks I'm completely paranoid but that's because I have been burglarized twice in my life and it is a horrible feeling. So, if he's not going to help me, I will do it myself. I just have no clue what I am doing so it has to be easy.
Also, does anyone have Ring doorbell? I would love some feedback on that.

my mom has the ring doorbell and loves it. Very easy to pull on mobile device and see.
She also has cameras but I don't know the brand and I think they are hardwired.

My DH bought the Qsee camera system- they sell it at costco and Amazon too I think.
He installed it himself but he's very handy.... he can check the cameras from an app on his cell phone if we are not home- which is pretty cool. Or if we are in bed and hear something outside he can just look on his cell phone to see if there is anything going on around the perimeter of the house.
it also is hooked up to our PC and it records everything and stores it on a drive in case you need to go back and look should you have a break in etc.
You might want to google it to see about how to install it.

We have the Ring doorbell and I LOVE it and it was very easy to install. We had it on battery power for a while and needed to charge it every 4 months and it did not have Live view but was still great for motion detection alerts and video/voice communication. Once hardwired it has live view which is great, I like the phone app and think the video quality is good. It is good to get the indoor chime alert as well.
We just ordered a Ring stick up camera since they were on sale and I hope it is as good as the doorbell has been

Arlo, love it! Crystal clear picture, even at night. Get alerts on my phone when there is motion. Runs on batteries so no hardwiring. Live view. It was on Amazon for $99 on sale the other day (we paid much more at Best Buy last year), not sure if it still is

I have an Izon. I got it for $30 on amazon and can access it from my phone. It does the trick.
