The Positive Posts Thread
This thread is just for positive things. There are plenty of threads to talk about negative things, so I thought I'd see if we could have one thread with just positive things.
If you disagree with what someone posted, feel free to start a new thread and debate them over there.
The weather is beautiful today. I'm trying to spend as much time as I can outside.

I just came in from sitting in my yard with some coffee and magazines - it's beautiful out there.
I'm seeing my friend's band tonight. They haven't played since summer 2015 so I'm excited, and lots of friends are coming in for the show.
Also my Peapod delivery came at exactly 9am and my time slot was 9-11am. That was pretty awesome

What a great idea for a thread!
I teach 6th graders with autism. This week one of my students has repeated apple 3 times, banana 1 time and mama 1 time. These are her first words ever spoken.

We celebrated my daughter's second birthday this week. We were this close to losing her before she even arrived and now she's a healthy, beautiful toddler!

The first time she said apple we all looked at each other. It was so amazing. I think this student came into my life this year to remind me that I have to stay positive and that anything possible.

DH and I are going out to dinner tonight to our favorite restaurant to celebrate his birthday (about a week early), his graduating college, and both of us getting new jobs. The back half of 2016 has been a stressful whirlwind, but it's been all good things.

I'll add another. I came out of the library this week and saw what I assumed was a ticket for my inspection which I hadn't gotten around to doing. Instead I found a simple note from a kind passerby letting me know it was expired.

Me too! I had no shopping done, and now I am mostly done with my kids, my nieces and most of my nephews. Still need some Legos that were excluded, but was so happy with my savings

My son has autism so I know first hand how amazing this is!!! and thank you as a teacher. You teachers (especially in this field) are truly amazing!!! I tell this to my son's teacher all the time!!!!

I was able to rehome FIL'''s cat with my neighbor.
Spent 3 hours getting Ginger adjusted and he seems to be doing fine in his new (fingers crossed) forever home.

Yesterday while food shopping, I ran into someone I knew growing up. He was like a brother to me. I have not seen him in yrs. When I was sick and in need of blood transfusions, he drove into NYC to donate. He was devastated when he was turned away due to an iron issue. It was very meaningful to know he wanted to donate, and it meant the world to me to run into him unexpectedly.
It felt sooo good to see him again!!
It was unexpectedly, last minute invited to a home made lunch (pre thanksgiving meal) at work today.

As I said in a previous thread, I found my missing for three days cat yesterday. I have been super happy since then.
I found a whole, fresh turkey at the supermarket today. I know this might not sound like much, but finding a whole turkey is not easy here. They mostly stock frozen turkeys around Thanksgiving here (for the expats), and when I couldn't find a frozen turkey, I got worried. So I went to the meat counter and there was a single fresh 7 lb. turkey. So happy!!
Even though it's just DH and me, it's still nice.

I just found out my son will be getting a sportsmanship award and I am BUSTING to tell him but I don't want to ruin the surprise! He is such a shy kid with low self confidence in sports (and socially) while his little brother is outgoing and really good at all the sports he plays so I am super excited for him! His coach JUST told me and my son and I are the only ones home so you are all the first to know
