Disneyland, CA
Has anyone been to Disneyland in CA? Where did you stay? We will be in California for a wedding and would like to finish the trip with 2 days in Disney. I would like to stay near the park.

We looked into it. I just can't do Orlando. So if we every do Disney, it will be Disneyland for one day on a California vacation.
Disney has 3 hotels there, I'd probably stay in one of them just because of convenience to the park etc.
You can see them on the DisneyLand website, they look pretty nice

I went years ago but I remember it being like Magic Kingdom. We stayed off site though.
ETA I would probably stay at the ones nearby for the convenience.

Disneyland, CA
There are hotels closer than the actual Disney Resorts there. It's odd, but true! The Disney hotels there are $$$$$. I booked a week at the Disneyland Resort, and it was costing $5,000 for just a regular room. I cancelled a few days later after I realized that was just a rip off lol. There are TONS of hotels right across the street, next door etc. Remember, Disney Land is in a downtown area, not spread out like WDW. Their hotel Paradise Pier is the less expensive of the three, but doesn't get very good reviews.
One that piqued our interest is the Courtyard Theme Park Entrance. It is brand new, offers bunk beds, has a waterpark in it, large rooms, AND split bathrooms that include a shower in one, and a tub/shower in the other. You can see many of the rides from the balcony. It looks great! We plan to go next Summer when my son graduates, and will stay there. You just walk 5 minutes to the park entrance.
DLR Prep School is a great page on Facebook for Disney Land tips. You would definitely need more than one day. One day for each park would be good.

we just went last week. We stayed at the best western plus park place mini suites - it is right on S. Harbor right across the street that you walk to Disney. it was a less than 5 minute walk to entrance - we returned for naps each day. It was clean and friendly. But it is a motel style room but it fit 5 comfortably - 2 queens and a pull out. it also only cost $159 a night - about 200 a night less than a Disney hotel

I should clarify, the waterpark isn't INSIDE, it's within the confines of the hotel outside. They have a FB page they are always posting pictures on also.

Yes, California Adventure is the second park. They aren't connected but they are right across from each other. Downtown Disney is kind of behind the parks when you are coming from the non-Disney hotels.

I love Disneyland! Been there a whole bunch of times because I have family in Cali. I can't help you with where to stay, because most of the times we stayed with family. Though I think the last time we stayed at the Anaheim marriot which was very close and very nice at the time. But definitely check out California Adventure and Downtown Disney, if it's still called Downtown Disney! Love Disneyland so much more than Disney World!

There are many great choices both onsite and offsite at Disneyland. I absolutely love the Grand Californian. It's so beautiful and it's basically IN California Adventure. One huge benefit os staying onsite is that you get the benefit of early entry at both Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure. With multi day tickets, staying offsite, you get one day of early entry to just Disneyland. Staying onsite you can go every day to both (they alternate days), which is great given the popularity of Cars Land.
