Kidkraft vs Imaginarium dollhouse
So, I have my eye on one of each brand of dollhouse for DD for Christmas. Both have great reviews and I know Kidkraft is an excellent brand. What about Imaginarium? Anyone have experience with this brand? Anyone prefer one over the other, and why? TIA!

We got my DD the imaginarium doll house 3 years ago for Christmas. It's held up really well, but the elevator is pretty hard to move up and down (I even have trouble lol), and a lot of the accessories have been broken. The TV was velcroed to the back and ripped off, the pillows were hot glued and came off the bed and the "chandelier" was ripped down pretty quick. But she was only 2.5 when we got it for her, and she's now 5 and still plays with it everyday, along with DD2 who is only 22 months and sometimes DS who is 6 and likes to pretend his planes land on it lol. So I'd say it's pretty well made, and my DH was able to put it together fairly easy on Christmas Eve.

I have boys - so no dollhouse.
But I can tell you every single KidKraft item we own (and there have been a lot) has been used, abused, and when outgrown, passed on looking as if it were taken out of the box and put together hours ago.
I bought some Imaginarium train tracks for the wooden Thomas the train sets .......quality didn't compare. But that's my only Imaginarium purchase.

Kidkraft vs Imaginarium dollhouse
Thanks ladies!! I just bought a $200 kidkraft train table (on sale for $80, score!!!) For my boys for Christmas so I'm glad to o own that'll hold up well because they can be rough!! It sounds like kidkraft may be slightly better quality so I'm hoping to get a good deal on one. If not, imaginarium has a comparable one for $80 on sale through christmas.

I was going to guess you bought the Savannah one. It looks so nice!!! And the prices on zulily were great. Can't beat it.

Dd1 has a dollhouse already but I want to get one for dd2.
It really does look so nice. I can't wait for her to see it! She actually has a loving family dollhouse that was a hand me down and she loves that, but I also want something she can use with her babies instead of buying a barbie dream house. It'll be a nice addition to her new room  even DH was in board with buying the house at that price!
