No they just have sold themselves out to tv and mags. These 2 dont work and are 19 and 21.
There is so much about this family that is just wrong and many people dont see that side. There is more to them not being on welfare.
Yes, and fame doesn't last forever. I'm wondering if they will be on welfare in 20 years or so.
There is a lot of shady stuff going on behind the scenes with that family...

It is not, under normal adult situations who support themselves and their children.
But they don't use the government to support themselves so I don't get all the hate towards them.
They are not the average american family but they have morals, are grounded, respectful etc. Sure some of their ways are not the popular ways, but who cares.
I have said it before - I DO NOT agree with all their views on mainstream topics, but I find them harmless.

He isn't the first teenager to get married and have a child. Who cares???
I just wouldn't encourage a "child" to have a child. Especially one who doesn't have a real job, can't hold their own insurance to have a baby, etc.

They may not be taking gov't handouts, but if they're not paying taxes or paying less than their fair share can be seen as cheating the gov't and working the system.

If The Duggars or Those Duck Dynasty people were ever found out to be in a KKK chapter or White supremacist group, would people be so passive about it? HELL TO THE NO! TLC/ A&E would sure as shit be pulling the plug so damn fast on those shows.
Hate is hate - there shouldn't be any exceptions or blind eyes when people aren't allowed to live based on things they cannot change. This is why I will forever hate The Duggars.

Also, with irresponsibly adding so many humans to our already overpopulated planet it would be nice if this family would take some responsibility for the strain they put on our environment and stop shitting on the planet. It's great that they try to be resourceful, but stop with the paper plates already! 20 paper plates per meal x 3 meals a day x 365 days a year = almost 22,000 paper plates per year added to our landfills by one family alone. Not to mention all the resources that go into the manufacturing and transporting of a paper plate.

I read years ago that their house was declared a place of worship. Not sure if it's true or not but remember a while ago thinking that's not fair. Can my house be a church too so I can save 12k a year?

Yet while I agree with every single thing you said, I still find myself following some of them on IG and on rare occasions will turn on the show. 
It's like I can't look away.

Comparing them to nazis is really a stretch unless they are advocating for exterminating people, they are not the only religious group in America advocating (including mainstream religions) against homosexuality but only they are comparable to nazis?? Do I agree with their politics, or their views on evolution, homosexuality or most mainstream topics, NO but comparing them to nazis is really going too far.
I watch the show and while I don't agree with their conservative beliefs and find some of them ridiculous, I also don't see children as robots without their own opinions. The girls very clearly have their own minds and voices, obv they are influenced by their parents but what child isn't. Jill's husband went to college and is an accountant and Ben is still in school like he was at the beginning, he is just taking online classes at the same community college.
I see children every day from homes where they have been malnourished, beaten, abused, etc., people really need to put things in perspective

Neither are gay people--but they spend their time trying to deny them rights. So to me that IS hurting them. Someone being gay would have NO affect on their life/family/safety/well being etc so who cares????

Do they? Or do they teach their children the followings of Christ, which include being against same sex relationships? Many of you go to church I'm sure, and I'm also quite positive the church doesn't believe in same sex relationships, correct? I've never heard a hateful thing come out of their mouths, but granted I don't follow their every move. There is a difference in "hate" and something being against your religion and you not supporting it.

The parents use one of their properties for their church and maybe their house they live in too for tax free purposes.
Like the OP said, the son supposedly owes $14,000 to taxes. I don't get it if they make so much but none of the kids own their own homes. The houses they have, in Arkansas were the grandparents houses (at least the one that Anna/Josh and Jessa/Ben live in).
I am sure they have done shady things in the past and now they rely on TV (which they won't even let their kids watch because it is so horrible but it is ok to get money for being on it) and rag mags for income.
They are a bunch of hypocrites.

Exactly they donate ten's of thousands of dollars to these causes and do campaign. They are filled with hate and while they put up a front on TV, they are not any better than the Gothard cult they are following.

But they ARE abused, they do blanket training which is a form of abuse. They do NOT let them have opinions or do be independent. The girls are NEVER allowed out of the house without something else with them. They are brainwashed that they are only baby machines and you are to have sex with your husband whenever they want. They marry to have sex, nothing else as they KNOW nothing else. They are not even allowed to have a conversation with someone they are courting alone and even on their wedding days they have chaperones.
Jim Boob is a disgusting perverted sex addict who controls each and everyone of them, even his mother who spends her day doing the laundry while they all live in her homes.
Research Gothard and you will learn a lot.

I agree that I don't see these guys like Jim Boob (yes Boob lol) but HE was the one doing pre-marital counseling so I am SURE it is taught to them the same thing that the women have NO choice.

They are conservative Christians. Teaching hate and spreading hate is one thing but teaching Jesus and what the Bible says is another. They have their belief's and they are allowed to have and teach them. Just as everyone else is. Just because you don't agree with mainstream society doesn't mean you are hateful or teaching hate. In fact in many ways it's nothing to do with hate at all just the teachings. If you watched last night you would here he is just about done with a 2 year program at college and looking into ministry. Just because it's a life YOU don't like doesn't mean it's hateful or sad that they are having a baby. That's like me saying because you care calling them hateful you, yourself, are as well. Why is it anyone against a cons. christian is allowed to be a turd in the name of equality but to even have a different view point makes us hateful? What a double standard to fit an agenda of "love". You must love and accept everyone but I can hate you and call you names because of what you believe.

I don't watch the show. I don't agree with a lot of their beliefs from what I've read about them. But I don't think there's anything wrong with getting married young and having kids so long as you've got your head on straight and you can support them. In my own very non-religious family, we've had family members who became parents at 19/20 and raised their kids just fine with no public assistance. So I don't see the issue there. However at the same time, they chose to turn their private lives into a tv show. And with that they are opening themselves up to criticism. I don't go out of my way to bash them because I've never seen the show but I can see why they rub people the wrong way. And if you choose to put your life and your beliefs in the public eye then I don't feel sorry for you when people criticize you. Yes they are entitled to their beliefs but others are also entitled to disagree with them.
