My insurance covers the following electric breast pumps - which one should i get:
(1) Ameda Purely Yours
(2) Tomy First Years
(3) Medella Advance Portable

I had the Ameda and was VERY disappointed with it--as was a friend of mine. I wouldn't recommend that one!

I do not like my Ameda. I borrowed one with DS#1 and hated it - thought it was b/c it was borrowed and maybe not working as well as it should.
Got one through insurance - when I had DS#2 the Medela that I wanted was out of stock - so I took the Ameda and still hate it.
My BFF gave me her Medela PIS (which she used for probably about 2 1/2 - 3 years between her 2 sons) as a back up and I like it soooo much better!!!

Definitely Medela. I had another pump before and switched to the PISA which I think is pretty much the same as the Medela you mentioned (just called something else for insurance) and it's so much better.

I have the Ameda purely yours and have had no problems with it. I think the Medela is by far the most popular though.
