New health insurance-no card yet
We just got new insurance through my dh's job that is effective today. The cards are being mailed to us. I need to take my dd to the doctor this morning but obviously don't have the card to show. When I tried to log on to get member Id I couldn't because they needed my member id to set up account lol. Any thoughts?

Call their customer service and they might be able to pull you up using your ss #. But you might not be fully loaded into their system yet...the service rep should be able to tell you what to do in that situation.

call the insurance co, they should have the number for you. Also, usually something is emailed or handed to the employee at work with the member id info

You might be able to go on their website and print a temporary one

When this happened to us, we explained our situation to the office manager and she asked us to bring it when we got it. We ended up getting it 2 days later and they processed everything then. It didn't seem like a problem to them

Thanks..that's what happened. I didn't have time to sit on the phone before the appt so they said to stop in once it arrives.

You may be able to print out a card from the healthcare website, just let the doctor know you haven't got the card yet, usually they can work it out once they have the info
