I thought it was a great episode. i was in tears but I'm glad that it ended on a good note and i now i don't have anything to on Mondays

The ending was predictable but satisfying. Wasn't totally thrilled about what happens with Ted but I like the other characters progression.
Trying not to post anything spoilery lol
Barney's scene in the hospital made me cry

I liked the episode but I hated the ending. They should have just ended it at the train station. I grew to like the mom.
Barney's ending was sweet.
Oh....and the kids were so annoying!

********SPOILER ALERT***********
The kids said it perfectly - basically what we were thinking! There was so little in the stories about the mom - this was more how he always had a special place in his heart for Robin!
I was crying theist 15 min! And shocked so many people guessed it was going to end that way! I was more sad to see t end than the way it ended! It wasn't great but it made sense! Ya know!?!

I was wondering about that...so they knew all along how it was going to end.
DH was saying no way but I knew the kids had grown up...
I actually liked the ending...it came full circle.

I really had to process this episode for awhile after watching it. I loved parts and hated parts, but overall, felt that the ending of the show really made sense.
I hated:
-Barney and Robin's divorce and Barney returning to his old ways.
-the gang growing apart (made me cry, because it really does happen in your 30s).
I loved:
-the scene where Ted actually met the mother
-Barney meeting his daughter
The jury is still out on:
-Ted ending up with Robin. It makes sense, but doesn't necessarily make me feel good. I really liked the mother, and I'm sad they killed her off. I think it would have bothered me even more if it hadn't be discussed on this board a couple of weeks ago.

Liked others I loved and hated it. Loved how they all ended up and thought it was stupid they killed the mom, but then it made sense. The whole thing with Robyn made sense, but I hate how they made her character turn out.. she left the gang.
I also didn't mind Barney going back to his old ways bc that's who he is and even better that he did find the love of his life... his daughter from #31. LOL!
DH was funny when he said, that was stupid. Should've picked February. 
You could tell the part with the kids weren't filmed with the real Ted, but it was great they did it 9 years ago bc the kids didn't grow up.
Basically I hated the entire season except the last few episodes. That's where I was disappointed. A weekend in an entire season then they skip the wedding mostly and go through 16 years in 45 minutes. That bothered me how it was a sloooow season then rush 16 years in an episode.

For a series finale, I loved how they kept bringing us into the future; it gave a real sense of closure to the show, but I felt the same way as Erica. They dedicated the entire season to the wedding weekend & writing vows, etc. and then skipped the actual wedding. Lame.
I loved the mom's character and was a little pissed they were shown as having this great romance and then it was suddenly "and she got sick" and that was it. It felt kind of sudden...all of this buildup for years and then "she got sick" & they quick cut to the next scene.
I also loved the scene where Barney met his daughter His & Robin's divorce made sense to me, but I'm glad I read the theory on here first so that I wasn't too surprised lol
Robin & Ted ending up together? Ugh. They really should've ended it with the train station scene like a pp mentioned.
And finally, WHY didn't they have the guy who plays Ted narrate the whole series (or at least this last season) if they knew it would finish up with him talking to the kids? It was weird to me that he was suddenly the one doing the voice overs last night.
