Divergent
I swear there must be something wrong with me because I hate every movie that is popular. We thought divergent was terrible, the acting was terrible the story was lame. We left after an hour or so.

DH and I saw it yesterday and thought the same thing. The acting was terrible and DH thought it had no plot. The book was MUCH better.
ETA-it got pretty bad reviews on rotten tomato

I love these books but I'm dreading seeing the movie because I think the casting for the main characters was totally wrong. I don't particularly like the girl playing Tris and, although I shouldn't complain about looking at him, the guy who plays Four is too hot lol.

The books were ok in my opinion, not great. It was a knock off/wanna be of Hunger Games. The movie was ok too. It followed closely to the book in most areas. The guy who played Four was so hot. He was the main reason I wanted to see the movie. Tris was ehh. I didn't even think she was that "special" as a movie character. If she was really so powerful in the book, it didn't show in the movie.

I usually hate popular movies too. They are too shallow and glossy and teen filled and just cookie cutter.
I hated all of the twilight movies. I felt like it was such terrible acting and dialogue. The divergent trailers and commercials make me cringe. I hated all of the transformer movies. It was like a snooze-fest to me. I surprising really liked the hunger game movies.

Just read the books and then watched the trailer and was so disappointed by the casting. They're all so old! And I totally agree, Four looks completely wrong to me. I kind of want to see if anyway but I also didn't like how they obviously Hollywood-ized it. Made me cringe just watching the trailer.

I just saw it last night, I liked it! Not as much as the hunger games movies, but it was much better than I was expecting. There was one scene that they changed from the book that I really disliked, but I don't want to spoil it so I won't say it, but if you want to know what it is feel free to FM.
