For those who watched True Detective (no spoilers please)

DH and I started watching and I am not loving it. I feel like its really boring? Games of Thrones also started out that way and I LOVE it now.

Is it worth it to keep watching? DH is into it...

YES!!!! YES!!!! and YES!!!

I thought the same thing - the first and second episode were kinda slow! But everyone told me to "Just Wait!!!"

Well by episode 4 - I was hooked - it was an intense episode! Then I couldnt stop - I watched 4-8 (8 is the finale) ALL in one sitting!

Keep watching its only 8 episodes and very worth it. Superb acting and catchy sinister story. However if "Game of Thrones" is completely different in terms of pace

The first four episodes bored the crap out of me.

I didn't find it particularly enthralling but the acting KILLED it. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughy (sp?) are amazing. They are superb.

This, word for word. I was practically falling asleep at the beginning but DH made me power through and it got much better.

Completely agree, I wanted to stop watching and my husband convinced me to continue. I'm glad we did.

Is this the one where the ending was like 6 full minutes of one single take with one camera?!?

If so, I was on the EDGE of my seat and biting my bottom lip so hard!
