North Shore Manhasset and scheduled c sections
My doctor said they do not preschedule c sections anymore. With my last daughter they had called me when I was about 28 weeks along with a date. So I'm not sure what that means. I know they will want the baby out in the 39th week but I am noticing that hospitals these days seem to let you know last minute for other procedures. I have 2 other kids to think about and a very drama filled last few months. So when do they let you know when you will have your section?

My OB scheduled mine with me when I was 25 weeks. Who is your OB? Mine was Klein/Gilbert etc.

I use different doctors but maybe they will schedule it later. Just different than the last time with a c section. Guess I'm just anxious.

My doctor said they don't schedule until 8 weeks before your due date.
Maybe that's what they meant?

Mine got scheduled at north shore Manhasset at my 32 week appointment. I'm delivering April 28th. My due date is 5/3

This was three years ago, but I didn't get my date until about 34 weeks.

5 years ago I got a call from the hospital and they gave me the date at around 28 weeks. I know my practice is down another physician so scheduling is tighter, but I will ask at my OB appointment next Friday. I'm not sure if I'm keeping my kids out of school the whole time I'm hospitalized or just the first and last days. Unfortunately, I'm relying on a grandparent that works and another that doesn't drive and my DH is disabled from a car crash/insurance debacle. It's not like you are in and out quick with sections, plus the recoveries were awful for me. Trying to prepare best I can without stressing out too much.
