Oh, Juan Pablo...
You're a d!ck! The more JP spoke on after the final rose, the angrier I became. Watching nikki with her puppy love look, Made me feel really badly for her. She isn't going to know what hit her after he leaves her. Did you see how Sean looked as if he was ready to explode?

I give it two weeks. Notice how when she asked him what he did in his free time, he told her he would be doing those things alone? Get a clue, Nikki!

Oh, Juan Pablo...
I totally think he is a an A hole, but at the same time, I give the guy so much credit for not giving into pressure and saying I love you, or proposing. He is not there yet, and that is OK. I thought Chris Harison was even more of an A hole for trying to make them feel like shit. Most of these couples do not work out, they say I love you within 8 weeks when they are dating 20 other people at the same time. JP is more of the reality, he needs to get to know her. I applaud him for that. Chris Harrison made himself look so stupid IMO.
ETA: And Claire, well she knew in the end it would be her & someone else. If she has even seen the show, she knows they can not say who they are picking until the end. If any bachelor or bachelorette gave a "hint" wouldn't the "loser" leave to avoid humiliation. She was a woman scorned. The comment he made was probably along the lines of him wanting to F*** her or something, and IMO if you want to act like a slut, then you get spoken to like one.

I totally disagree. I don't Chris Harrison was being a d!ck at all. He was trying to make the point to dumb JP that he's on a reality show about love, everyone has been watching, and everyone wants to know where he stands with the girl he chose. He didn't say he had to be in love but if he's not, just say it. I'm glad he put him on the spot.
JP didn't want to talk about anything or answer any questions. He had an attitude about everything he was asked and kept insisting his life and their "relationship" was private. Sorry, but he is on TV trying to find a "wife"............he gave up privacy at that point. He was a complete tool from beginning to end. Even with Claire, he treated her like garbage at the end, it wasn't necessary to be so cold. And there was NOTHING even remotely romantic about him choosing Nikki. The finale was uncomfortable. So awkward.
On that note, Nikki looked like an a$$hole standing there at the end while he is saying "I like you a lot" while she is professing her love. What a fool. And on After The Rose, it was painful watching her sit there like a little dumb bunny while he basically implied he had little interest in her, wanted to do his own things with his free time, and refused to even hint that he might be falling in love. The whole thing was pathetic, Nikki, who tried to play Ms. Secure and Confident the whole time, looked like a stupid bimbo in the end. She should run...............between the way HIS family spoke about him and how he behaved on the show I'm not sure I understand why she's sticking around. It won't last though, no way.
JP turned out to be a reall a$$hat, one of the worst seasons ever of this show.

JP did answer his questions, he said they had plans, and he liked her and didn't want to let her go. He made it clear he was not in love with her yet, because he didn't say I love you, and wouldn't. Chris was bent over the fact that he would not say it. He didn't say it because he is not in love. I think this show makes a lot of them say it in the end when they only like the person, and that is why it doesn't work out. IMO this is more of a reality, than them professing their love to each other after only knowing each other for 8 weeks, and only spending limited time together.
He doesn't have to tell every single detail, esp since he is being slammed in the tabloids, and was made to look like a jerk by the show. Is he a jerk, hell yeah, but he has every right to be private at this point, on TV or not. The show didn't get what they wanted, and Chris Harrison made it uncomfortable. ETA: If Chris didn't keep pressing the I love you thing, when he is clearly not at that point yet, Nikki wouldn't have looked so uncomfortable. I never expected ANY guy to say I love you to me after 2 months of dating. And that is real world, not fantasy Bachelor Land

I selected certain parts of your response because you reminded me of something I read recently where Jason Messnick(ex-bachelor) pretty much said that the show will force you in a direction at the end if you do not have your mind made up & they show has told past bachelors that they will make you look bad if you do not profess love. Chris even said that JP fought the show's process so I guess that ticked off the producers so they emphasized his most jerky characteristics (even though we are all sure he is a jerk IRL)
And I believed the show most likely tried to force him to propose on after the final rose but he refused to go along with it.

I kind of agree with this. I mean he's an a$$, that's kind of clear, but I think the editing made him 1000X more of an a$$.
There was an interview with Chris Harrison and they asked him why they didn't choose someone new. He said that it keeps it interesting and keeps people watching. And that's what they want-- ratings. And we watched because he was such a jerk.

Re: Oh, Juan Pablo...
It made me sick to watch the finale.
First of all these "women" fed his inflated ego... He should have been telling them everything that they had been saying. It made me sick to see Clare talking about love and what an amazing person he was. Then Nikki did the same thing. Mean while he didn't say anything substantial. They were putting him up on this pedestal when it should have been the other way around. It was a one sided relationship.
When your own family is warning you about him. RUN
On after the rose.... chris harrison is only doing his job even though at times I felt like he kept bringing up the same thing over and over. It seems like they had a certain amount of time allotted for Juan Pablo and he wasn't giving the answers and it just kept going in a circle. They should have then just filled the time with the other people that were on the show.
And reality steve is always right. He said andi was going to be the next bachelorette!
I will still watch this show. LOL. can't wait for the bachelorette.

OMG that was sooooo weird and awkward and painful to watch!!! Nikki looks ridiculous to sit next to him, be with him, when he is clearly an idiot, not too smart, and an a-hole on top of that.
So weird!!!!!

I agree with this too though. Why would he tell Claire? She would leave and there wouldn't be a show. That's part of the show IMO. And I agree, I don't think he needs to say I love you or even propose, but it was just the WAY he went about it that was weird. However, part of me just believes it's part of the language barrier and partly b/c he's not a rocket scientist and also a guy who isn't the best conversationalist.

I agree with this too! I thought Nikki was trying to play confident. She was clearly so upset and thrown off when he said he wasn't going to propose. Watch her face, she looks so confused and upset. So I think she was trying to play cool, not to embarrass herself on national tv. Also…why did BOTH of these dummy women stand there on TV and do ALL the talking for him at the finale, on the "alter"? It was like they were proposing to him, when HE is the bachelor.
To me, he almost gives me the vibe that he doesnt even "like" women, if you know what I mean. Never liked him from the start, bad pick ABC.

Oh really? Well if you did catch JP said "you guys have been BOXING with me. Luckily I learned how to box" something along those lines. So this makes sense.

Re: Oh, Juan Pablo...
What a nasty, gross, ass, (can I think of more words) guy.
I said form day one this guy was a big ass, into himself, fake and gross.
I feel bad for Niki, and I'm not sure SHE knows what she is getting into. I love her.....but after hearing him talk about Claire after she walked away and the stuff he said to her?
Also if he DID have sex with Claire I blame her 50%. But I'm SO glad she just didn't take his crap.
I do feel bad for Nikki. Im giving them 3 months, maybe 6 tops before she realizes what we have all seen.
And did you see the way they were sitting on the couch in "after"? He was claiming her, IMHO.
ICK.

I didn't watch much of the season, but I saw most of the finale. I would've slapped him with the rose and kicked him in the balls when he said "Don't get cranky now!"

But was he sweet? To me, he was the same back then too. Barely said anything, not a conversationalist. Women liked him strictly for his looks and soccer ability I am sure.
And the surprise thing? See I think that came from his language barrier. I think he was confused and thought that since America didn't know who he picked, he was referring to NIKKI herself as his "surprise". I honestly think it's part language barrier, partly that he's not too smart in general and partly that he's a dickk.
