BF'ing and the return of AF
How long until AF returned if you were BF'ing? I am almost 6months PP. DD nurses 3-4 good long nurses a day and 1-2 shorter ones. The past two weeks I have started to feel a little crampy and I wonder if AF might return soon.
I know everyone is different but I'm just curious.

For me af came back 6 mths and I was still bf but I also was giving solids.

Around 6/7 months I would get a bit of cramps and I swore I was going to get af. I got 1 af at 8 months and that's it. Dd is just over 10 months.

With my first I got it a few weeks after I stopped BF. Around 7 months.
With my second I got it around 4-5 months. I was still BF

It returned when DS was four months. I was surprised how early it returned. During that time I was pumping between 35-40 ounces daily. It didnt affect my supply much though.

15 months I basically had to start weaning and I think we were down to one feeding a day when it finally came back. I did get cramping on and off for months and thought maybe AF was coming but then nothing.

without knowing, i ovulated 6 months pp and got pregnant
so technically AF never returned, but would have around 6 months pp
my last af was May 2012
i was nursing 2-3 times as day and pumping 2-3 times a day (except weekends when i ebf)

I think it came back around 10-11 months. I started getting heart palpitations, headaches, etc for a good month and then it came. This is when we dropped to 3 feedings maybe 4 a day.
