Shared Room

My DS is going to be 4 and I am due in February with a girl. They will be sharing a room and I am having a big problem with decorating. I have enclosed the picture of the bedding I want but my DH says it's too girly. I was thinking of painting the walls gray and having a gray comforter set for my son. Anyone else in this situation? Any suggestions and/or pics will help.

TIA

That's the bedding I'm getting! I LOVE IT! We painted the walls gray.

I don't see why your DD can't have a girly bedding even if she's sharing a room with your DS. It's not like it's his bedding.

He is OCD and just wants everything to match lol. It's the only one I really like, do you have any pics of your nursery? What shade of gray did you paint it?

Not yet... so far we've just painted! The room won't be completed for at least another month or so.

I love that bedding! I think you could use that for DD if you get your DS a gray comforter.
Land of Nod has a few gray/gray stripped comforters that are really nice.

Charcoal Heather by Olympic. It has a purple undertone though so it looks a bit more lavender than I wanted.

Re: Shared Room

That bedding is beautiful! I think it's ok for her side to be girly and his side to be boy! . My DD is 2.5 and my DS is due in march. They will be sharing a room and I am painting the walls a gray/beige. (probably BM Thunder). We moved her to a toddler bed and got her new bedding that is robins egg blue with pink flowers and hints of brown (PBK Brooklyn). We got him a quilt and bed skirt from PBK too. His is light blue, with navy and a touch of brown as well. I'm doing a princess/knight/dragon theme in the room. His wall decals will have a castle with a knight & dragon. Her wall decals (same brand as his, just the girl version) will be a princess, prince and castle.

Neither of their bedding exactly matches each other or the theme, but the color scheme definitely matches and I will accessorize with coordinating curtains and rug. And also, princesses, knights and dragons! Chat Icon
