I get organic. When DD is at grandma's house or we are out somewhere I don't mind if she gets regular milk but I prefer she gets organic mostly.

Ds never has organic. He drinks lactaid and they don't make it organic.

Organic here as well. You may want to ask if your daycare offers organic milk. I had no idea ours did.

Re: transitioning to whole milk-organic or not?

smart mommies, please keep in mind many organic milk brands are not very good ...

try to avoid ultrapasturized its so processed that it will lack much nutrition

Here are some great web sites to help you make a good choice

http://www.cornucopia.org/dairysurvey/

http://whereismymilkfrom.com/

we choose Natural by Nature (sold in Fairways and Whole Foods)

milk from grass fed cows, more delicious and much more nutritious

Regular can be very okay, if you know where it comes from Chat Icon

We use regular, but Dd (2years old) only drinks about 8oz/day and less when I was still BFing her. I'm not a big fan of drinking milk to begin with, organic or regular.

We've always done organic but used to buy either Costco brand or Horizon until you posted the above link. I now buy Organic Valley, which has a much higher rating. So to answer the OP, we do organic but keep in mind not all organic is created equal Chat Icon

This is very true! My only grassfed option is half an hour away and $10/gallon so it's not feasible for us at the moment.
