Clomid dosage, WWYD?
So i'm sticking with same RE this cycle until I figure out where else to go, its close to work so thats the only plus for now.... I went in for CD3 bw/sono today. I have previously been on 50mg of clomid for all of my cycles and I respond well. I usually make 3-4 follies per cycle, and conceived my DS on this dosage as well... Today my regular doctor who I trust/like wasn't there, so I had to meet with someone else... She told me that on my last IUI cycle, I had 6 follies ranging from 17-20mm! and no one told me this.... i asked on the doctor doing my IUI the day of, and she told me 3 or 4 were mature. Its no wonder why I was so crampy/bloated after I triggered.
Anyway, she suggested that I lower the dosage by alternating the amount I take CD3-7, by taking 1/2 a pill, then 1 pill, and so forth, alternating for 5 days... but now I am hesitant if i should do this since I really didn't hear it from "my" doctor...

If you're unsure, call and speak to your regular doctor. Not sure why they'd tell you that you had 3 or 4 follies and now they say you have 6. I'd want to get the story straight first.

I could call, but I would have to leave a message with one of the nurses, who would probably just tell me to follow what this doctor today told me... my normal doctor was in another office today. ughh.

Can you call the office your dr is in today? Or do you have an email address for your dr?

I would give Dr. T a call to confirm but if the Dr tou saw was Saketos, I would trust her. She's pretty knowledgeable with IF meds. Good luck!

Thanks Lillies... you're right...the dr I saw today was Saketos. She wanted me to do: CD 3, 5 and 7: 25mg, and CD 4 & 6: 50mg. I was thinking of doing the opposite though (taking 50mg CD 3/5/7 and 25mg CD 4/6). They told me Dr. T was in brooklyn today, so I am not sure if I call the brooklyn office, what they can do from there, since my chart is not there and he can't really review anything. I'm just really surprised about the whole 6 follie thing and how 1- no one mentioned it and 2- they'd let me trigger and do an IUI with 6 follies. Unless 17mm is considered immature?

As a side note - I've triggered with six follies before (got a bfn :( )
I would call the Brooklyn office. But honestly, the less clomid you take the better bc it thins your lining. If you feel uncomfortable, stick with what original dr said if you can't reach him.

Yeah, I did get a BFN with the 6 follies. I think I will just follow her directions and see how it goes. Thanks!
