Gas Conversions
After many years, National Grid is finally extending their lines down my dead end street.
Any reccos of a company to use for the conversion? Also, any feedback on the price that something like this will go for?
Hoping to be oil free this winter.

Gas Conversions
I priced it and I had quotes ranging from 8-10K.
It depends on the size of the boiler and HW heater and the chimney and oil tank.

Ours was $6K for the conversion to a gas boiler and then I think another $1,200 for the hot water heater (but not sure of the HW price). We used Burner King after a recommendation from another LIF poster

Re: Gas Conversions
We just got 2 quotes. We can do the conversion burner & we have gas to the house already for the oven, so they just need to extend the line. WillCo Mechanical quoted us $4500 & NH Ross $6600. Both are National Grid installers. WillCo came very highly recommended, so we're probably going to go with them (pending a third & final quote).

Gas Conversions
Forgot to add - it took several months for National Grid to process our application and set a date to bring the gas from the street to the house, (that part is free), so if you are thinking about for this winter, I'd get the application in asap

Re: Gas Conversions
We had gas already coming to the house... but we used Burner King and we were super happy with them. It cost use about $6K.
