When did lo go in crib? Update
At what age did you start lo in the crib? And why? How was the transition if there was one? What were they in before?
Update- we did it! Dd is 7 weeks and last night she was in the crib. It was way harder on me than It was on her. I kept looking over at the empty rnp and I missed her :(. She did great though and had one of her good sleeping nights. And by good I mean 8pm to 330am. Then down again...

Re: When did lo go in crib?
We had no choice but to put DD in the crib at 5.5 months, after she sat up in her RnP and almost tipped it over. I had been dreading the transition, because she seemed to hate her crib- wouldn't nap in it at all. But actually, first night in the crib she slept straight through, no issues. Good luck!

When did lo go in crib?
Got home from hospital on Saturday, DD was in crib in her own room on Tuesday. The furniture was delivered Tuesday morning and she was in the crib that night. The few days before that she was in the pnp in my room.

When did lo go in crib?
we waited until 8m (6m adjusted). we used the rock n play til then. she was a pretty good sleeper and i delayed it because i didnt want to change that. plus we were going on vacation and i knew that she would have to sleep in the RNP so i didnt want to do the transition and then have her sleep horrible on vacation so i just waited until we got back. a week later she went into the crib and has (knock on soooo many pieces of wood) STTN literally every night since, and she is over 2 now. the transition was absolutely perfect and easy. we did start her napping in the crib a few days earlier and when she did sleep in her room in the RNP for a few weeks before. the transition was literally perfect, she was VERY ready. IMO no need to rush.

When did lo go in crib?
At three months when I had to go back to work. There really wasn't a transition... he had been randomly napping in there but that's it. We just put him in there once night and that was that, he's STTN ever since. Before that he slept in the RnP in our room.

When did lo go in crib?
We put dd in the crib in her room at about 5.5 weeks It was getting tough for Dh to hear her wake and night and function at work. She went in with no problems at all - the first night I had the monitor in my hand with volume on loud. The next night I was able to lower it and leave it on the nightstand- definitely harder for me than her!

Re: When did lo go in crib?
At 3 mos., about 2 weeks before I went back to work, in case there were transition issues. There were none at all! Before that, we used both bassinet and rock n play depending on her reflux night by night.

Re: When did lo go in crib?
at about 3 months... she was previously in the r&p in my bedroom. but she started sleeping like crap at about 10 weeks anyway so I figured I may as well do the transition then.

When did lo go in crib?
She started out in the pnp in our room, moved to the crib at around 3 months once her furniture was set up.. She adjusted just fine, and continued to sleep through the night. Im a fan of the earlier the better-- wish I did that with Naps, DD was an awful napper and is still kinda not great with them!

Re: When did lo go in crib?
About 6 months with DD1, will do the same with DD2.. but maybe sooner since in our new house her room is right across the hall (not across the house like DD1's room was in our old place). She is 2 months old and in the PnP next to our bed, I just like having her right next to me when she's so little.

When did lo go in crib?
5 weeks exactly. Our cradle was handmade by my grandfather. It has two knobs that pull out so that it can swing. My big fat DS moved around so much that he was knocking the knobs out and his body weight was causing him to roll all the way to one side and be squished! He's been great in the crib!

Re: When did lo go in crib?
3.5 mo. They were in the rnp before so we elevated their crib mattress on one side. We layed it flat after a week. I thought twin 1 would have issues bc we used to put her in the swing to sleep then transfer her but she was fine. We swaddled in sleep sacks for 2 weeks but they started rolling a bit and we stopped. It took a bit to adjust and not startle but they got it. We wanted them used to their cribs before they could realize we weren't there. There was no reason to have them in rnp and it was harder on us to move them. (Didn't have the peace of mind of having them there and they are about 5 steps down on a different level of the house.
Eta, my twin 2 had reflux so we didn't want her flat but she was fine. Even after her 4:30 am feeding where she went right back in the crib.

When did lo go in crib?
Three months. She was squirmy in the cosleeper, twisting around until she was sideways in it and keeping DH and I up in the morning kicking in her sleep. I started moving her after her motn feeding and she'd sleep the rest of the night in there, then we worked on doing some naps in there, and then putting her down in there at bedtime. It was easy and took maybe 2-3 weeks for her to make the switch including all naps.

When did lo go in crib?
2 months. She started in Rnp then pnp both in our room. She was moving around so much that I figured it was time. Plus i figured the early we transition her the easier it would be. She transitioned fine with no change in sleeping.

Re: When did lo go in crib?
At 6-7 months...it was a smooth transition as I still nursed her to sleep regardless of where I was putti g her once she was sleeping. I loved having her sleep right next to our bed, and felt sad when we moved her to her crib, but at that point, it really was time. It went really well and I'll do the same for my next LO too.

Re: When did lo go in crib?
We transitioned DD to her crib in her room at 3 months and it was a smooth transition for her. The first night was rough on me but we made it through night 1 just fine
I must say as much as i enjoyed having her next to my bed in the RnP it was nice to have her in her own room

When did lo go in crib?
My dd was 6 months and slept in the RnP until that time. About 2 weeks before I put her in her crib I actually put the Pack n Play with bassinet in my room next to me to get her used to sleeping flat. I didn't want to hit her with a double wammy of now your sleeping flat AND your not next to me anymore. That the first week she woke up a few times but each night she slept for longer periods until no more waking. Then I put her in her crib. No issues at all! She LOVES her crib. I initially tried having her nap in her crib and that didn't work at all but first night in the crib she was great and then after that I could get her to nap in it.

Re: When did lo go in crib?
Dd slept in a bassinet attachment for our stroller until she was about two weeks because I was sleeping downstairs due to my c section recovery, but once I was able to do the stairs she went to her crib right away. She was probably about two weeks old. It was the best thing we ever did.
