Does your 3 year old sit in a stroller?

I am due in the new year right before my son's 3rd birthday. I go for a walk 4-5 days a week. Do 3 year olds still like to go on walks? Not sure if I will need a new stroller to fit them or is a 3 y/o not going to want to sit anyway.

Depends on the child. I had DS2 when DS1 was 2 so we did get a double stroller. So glad I did bc DS1 can be lazy. He'd never do the sit and stand. When he gets tired he wants to sit.
He is 4 now and we don't use it as much unless I need it. I took it to walk around NYC, Great Adventure, walking around Hoboken, etc. Usually if I'm with myself. DS1 can walk if he wants to then I use his side to throw a bag in or other stuff.

running out to stores - no. Going for walks - yes. She sometimes starts out walking but then ends up in the stroller. I've also noticed her want to sit in the stroller more when her new little sister was sitting in one

We walk a lot of places so DD still sits in the stroller (just turned 3) and I got a double for when baby #2 comes.

Not really
Occassionally she will if she is in the right mood- but in general she wants nothing to do with being confined.

Only when we go for walks or go to a place where we will be doing a lot of walking (like the zoo).

Usually though if he has the option of staying at home with daddy or going for a walk with mommy, he chooses to stay home.

For the store, no. But walks, zoos, long outings....yes.

My almost 4 year old loves to sit in the stroller.. But that is rare in most kids... I have a Baby Jogger and it holds up to 75lbs.. I mainly use that for big outings.

We finally evicted my son from the stroller a few months before his 4th birthday. Some kids really love their strollers.

I would personally get a good double umbrella stroller for those rare times u need it

My 4 yo still loves going for walks in the stroller. If your getting it for walks its def worth it. My DD gets sleepy still and I think if I was using and sit and stand she would not be as happy. Try and get a used one.

My daughter is just about to turn 3. She will not sit in a stroller. We haven't gone any place that requires a huge amount if walking. But if we go for a walk around the neighborhood or in a store, no....she will not go in a stroller.

I think it depends on the kids. My boys have always loved the stroller even now at 5 and almost 4 they would sit in a stroller given the opportunity.

My DD did for walks. She was/is a very active kid but if we were walking to walk, not to enjoy the scenery, she would sit.
