Recommend an OT for fine motor delays, not sensory

Can anyone recommend a good OT? DS has a lot of fine motor issues, but no sensory issues. As a preschooler, I find that a lot is geared towards sensory. We have an OT now, but I'm a little iffy about her. She's very nice, but I'm just not sure. Thanks!

ETA: We're in eastern Nassau

Are you looking for one to pay privately or one for CPSE?

I am looking for a new OT too, but for both.

We didn't like the one who was with DS this past year.

She always made her schedule all about her and when she was seeing another kid in the same neighborhood, and would often sit and do her paperwork during his session time. Sometimes she wouldn't see him for a couple of weeks because of her own needs and not wanting to come unless she had another kid in the area....

I didn't protest too much because it took forever to just find her.

ETA: DS was originally getting the service in Eastern Nassau too, at my IL's. Will probably request for the service to be at school this year. (Copiague SD).

Re: Recommend an OT for fine motor delays, not sensory

I had a new one call me yesterday so I am going to try her out and see how it goes.

She is from NY Therapy like the last one, but I was sure to tell her why we did not care for the last one.

On the phone at least, she seems very opposite. She's already been in touch with the school and found out who DS new teacher is going to be, and she set up the schedule already.

Night and day for even that from the last one.

P.S. DS gets services from CPSE too.

I tried to give my OT a chance, but I think it's not going to work out. I'm going to call NY Therapies and All About Kids, but again looking for any specific recommendations. Thanks!

I recently heard Little Village has good OTs.
