Twist on Newborn Photographer Tip
My maternity photographer is doing DD's newborn photos on Saturday. She owns the business. I tipped her $50 for my maternity session.
She does newborn photos with a photographer that works for her, so there'll be two of them. I know general consensus is you don't have to tip if the photographer owns the business. But now there's the other photographer too. There's no way I would tip one and not the other.
Thoughts? I'm going to run into the same situation early next year when they both shoot DD's baptism so I figured I'd tackle it now.

Just because it's their business it doesn't mean that I can't throw in a little extra just to show the appreciation for their patience and a great job they do I do think $50 is a bit much tho. I do $20-30 . I would tip $20-25 each . But that's just me.

I tip my photographer (who is the owner) $50. Which ever photographer does more should get more. I'm curious, why two?

My SIL is a photographer who owns her business and she says she would much rather referrals than a tip. If you think about it, it ends up being more money in the end.

She's primarily a wedding photographer who is incredibly busy and popular. She's expanding her business with a family division and brought in an experienced photographer to help and I think to learn from. I don't think it's necessarily both of them for all shoots, but they will both be at mine. I really don't mind and I'm definitely willing to pay for good service provided and I think she's fantastic and top notch.
