Where to buy Dd a hamster?
Looking to buy my DD a hampster today..Any reccs on a great place to buy one..I'll be in the Islip/Patchogue area?

Where to buy Dd a hamster?
Any pet store. Hamsters do not live long no matter what so I never really worried about it being from a special place. Petco would work.

We bought our guinea pig from Country Critters on 112 in Patchogue. They seemed knowledgeable and have been helpful.

Petco has hamsters for adoption that would be the route I would go.

DH and I were given a 1 year old hamster from a friend who didn't want it anymore (before DD was born) and we were told they don't live long, so we took it...the thing lived another 3 years

WE went to pet smart. We got the russian one. He NEVER bites. It was at the recommendation of the pet smart guy. We had a chinese one before and he did bit on occasion, even got DH really good once.
