Flying with 8 month old

We will be heading to CA in a few weeks to visit my brother who,lives out there. DD will be 8 months old. I've been doing a lot of reading and feel I'm prepared in all ways but one (which no one mentions!) --- what do I do when she poops? Hers are super smelly and messy. We have all 3 sets in the row. Do I do it there (unsanitary for others), or is there a pull down changing table in the bathrooms? Help!

I just flew Jet Blue and they had changing tables in the bathrooms. I'm sure you could find out if another airline has them on their website.

Don't do it in the seat....my sister got caught and for yelled at for attempting to change her daughters pee diaper on the seat. It's cramped in the plane bathroom but that's what you gotta do

Use the changing table in the bathroom for pee or poo. It's a small space but you will be ok. Thankfully I only had to change one diaper when we flew with DD.

Ugh. I was hoping I could do it at the seat too (in DD's infant seat, not on the airplane seat). I've only had to use the airplane bathroom myself once, on a 9 hour flight.

We recently flew and they announced that there was a changing table in the bathrooms that had to be used.

For sanitary reasons you have to use the changing table in the bathroom. All airlines have them. It's not that bad.
