Which thermometer?
Which one is the best, easiest to use and most accurate? What brand and type? Ear? No touch forehead?

I like the Vick's Rectal Thermometer. Very easy to use and supposedly rectal thermometers give the most accurate temps in infants.

how old is your DC - when my kids were younger - my DR didnt want to hear a temp that was NOT rectal - he said that is the most accurate!

NEVER stuck anything up my daughter's butt
Better yet, neither have the pediatricians. They always used over the forehead at each and ever visit so why would I do that to her? Never understood it.
The temp was off ? Yes but you learned the add a degree or two. Around 2yrs old she hated the armpit one and would squirm (can't imagine if I had ever done rectal how long that would have lasted) so we moved to the exerogen temporal. Loved it enough we have two one for us and one for auntie.
