If you lost your baby weight...
... how did you do it? To date, I have gained about 50 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight and I need to get it off. What worked for you? I'm not good at just dieting on my own so I need a plan or some kind of structure. I'm looking into weight watchers. Anyone have success on WW?

If you lost your baby weight...
I didn't do weight watchers but I lost the weight counting calories. I kept track with the MyFitnessPal App. I have a little more weight to lose but I lost the bulk of it this way!

Re: If you lost your baby weight...
I finally look back to pre-pregnancy 2 yrs after DS#2 was born. I started taking a cardio dance class that is both toning and cardio. I briefly had a personal trainer but it was hard to keep a weekly appointment. I like my dance class better because it is offered at 5,6,7 and 8 daily.
I drink lots of water and try to eat healthier. I also try to eat smaller portions. I have a few weddings to attend and don't want to be the fat bridesmaid. I was about 5 lbs off last year and I definitely felt like the fat bridesmaid. All the other BMS were skinny minnies (non-parents).
eta: After losing the actual weight, my body was still a mess. I felt like my belly area would never go back but it did with exercise. The weight is only one portion of the equation. I thought for the longest time that all my shirts shrank. I apparently gained weight in my back! They all fit properly now.

If you lost your baby weight...
I did Weight Watchers and I now weigh less than I did pre-pregnancy. It's really the only plan that works for me because I have control over what I eat and it is flexible.

Re: If you lost your baby weight...
I lost most of it naturally but I am still struggling with about 5 pounds that fluctuates and I know I will gain a bunch back after I stop breastfeeding. I already feel like I can't cut back anymore on food so I think for me it'll have to be getting serious with exercise. i have gotten so lazy and out of shape this year. but its so hard to try and be diligent about moving!

I am a huge fan of WW and it worked great for me in the past but after the baby and not having sleep etc I needed soemthing easy and very structured.
I did Medifast after the baby. I got the last 20 lbs of baby weight off with it. Its tough cause it is mostly their "food" but it works. It is def a commitment but I know people who have lost over 100lbs on it so I know it can be done for various people.

Re: If you lost your baby weight...
myfitnesspal...it's free and its just about counting calories. The last few pounds I did a juice fast and that took care of the rest. It took me awhile but I gained a lot of weight with DS.
Once I started eating healthier in general (cutting out sugar, white flour, processed stuff etc) I didn't have to count calories at all, I was able to lose and maintain my ideal weight.

Re: If you lost your baby weight...
Mostly just breast feeding and being smart about what I eat. I don't keep junk food in the house and definitely no soda. I also try to eat a salad before dinner to fill me up a little. Running now and then has also helped. Check out My Fitness Pal to count your calories, it's an amazing app and website.

Jenny Craig!!! Easiest diet ever. I lost almost 40lbs. I actually went down 10ls under my pre pregnancy weight. I've been off for almost a year now and still maintaining easily. Worth every penny.

Re: If you lost your baby weight...
I loved WW and can't wait to go back full force after DC2 is born. I never considered it a "diet" because I felt I could keep it up indefinitely without ever feeling like I was sacrificing anything. I wish I had done it sooner.
I don't find it to be all that structured though. There are a lot of ways to arrange your points, and not all are healthy and balanced. I love that flexibility, but I could see how it might not for everyone.

Do you still lose weight if you don't use you points on the healthiest of foods but still stay within your allotted points?... not that this is a good strategy, but just curious :)

You still need to make the healthy choices. If you pick high value points you will end up hungry and going over your points.
My best advice with WW is sto stay away from their pre-packaged food.
for anything to work you need to pick the healthy choices.

Re: If you lost your baby weight...
Did you have the baby yet? You will likely lose a lot right after, I lost 25lbs within a week or two, but the last 10 or 12 that took diet and exercise. Honestly it was about 9 or 10 months before I felt like my body looked the same and it wasn't necessarily weight it just looked different, for some people it takes time for things to go back, your uterus takes a long time to contract and what not, but it happens don't worry, it was not as bad as I expected

If you lost your baby weight...
I did WW this year after having my son in august 2012 and lost all the baby weight plus the weight I gained from TTC with fertility in 2010 when i had my twins. I stopped doing it and the time i paid for has run out, but i am going to start up again using the online only tools since now i know how to count points. I previously tried doing my fitness pal and just counted calories, but the points system just worked better for me.

If you lost your baby weight...
Honestly everyone is different. At my baby's 1 month check up I was back in my old jeans no problem. At 10mos pp I feel I look the same as I dd before except slightly bigger boobs bc I still breast feed.
I just started working out again because I feel like in not very flexible anymore and it was a big part of my life prior so I want to tone up.
Some people have to work harder than others but good nutrition, working out, breast feeding and tons and tons of water helps a lot.

Yes, DD is 5 1/2 months old already. I've actually gained more weight since she was born due to all the visitors we had early on. Too much pizza and Chinese food :(
