holding bottle?
When did your LO hold their bottle themselves?
DD holds her sippy cup, we have the nuby with the handls and she holds the handles and drinks.
But she won't / can't hold her bottle.

Re: holding bottle?
DD will be 16 months next week and still won't hold her bottle. I guess she never will. She's fine with the sippy. She uses the straw one. I'll be trying to get rid of the bottles pretty soon so I guess it won't be happening for her. I know she can do it, but I think she just likes us holding it and honestly I don't mind. I'd have milk everywhere if she did it.

Re: holding bottle?
Thanks everyone!
I love holding and hugging her while I give her a bottle, but sometimes it would be nice for her to hold her bottle herself. Oh well. if she doesn't, she doesn't. She does hold her water cup.

Re: holding bottle?
My DS never did. He was always fine holding a sippy cup though. I never pushed the issue and we were done with bottles around 15 months.

This same q was asked about a month ago and the majority of people responded that their kid never did...
DD started holding her own at around 11 months.
Just keep dropping it LOL. She'll pick it up.

holding bottle?
Mine started at 12m. It's like something clicked one day and she wanted to be ms independent! She'd fuss if we tried to hold it... She literally wanted to pick it up off the table and start it herself. She now fusses if she can't feed herself table foods...

holding bottle?
I stopped bottles at 12 months but my DD never held hers. She refused but had no trouble holding her sippy cup.

Re: holding bottle?
I felt like DD was such a stinker with the bottle! It's not that she couldn't- she just wouldn't!! She wanted to twirl her hair, play with her fingers, touch the blanket, etc. She didn't hold the bottle until about 11-12 months...
