Puddle Jumpers or similar for a thin 2 year old

My little one is tiny and thin. He will be 2 on Wednesday and may be at most 24 pounds. Is there a puddle jumper for his weight? The ones I have seen start at 30 pounds. He won't sit in a raft anymore and wants to swim. I tried someone's puddle jumper and around his body it was fine but his arms were lost in the floaties. The vest we have is too big for him as well.

I had this problem too. DS is 25 months and about 26 pounds. The only thing I saw for that weight was a full life vest. I saw some at Target.

We ended up getting the puddle jumper b/c we'll be able to use it much longer.
It works fine for him. We don't swim much and we are always right next to him.

Puddle Jumpers or similar for a thin 2 year old

I just put swimmies on DD and she does fine. We just got back from vacation where we had an inground pool and she actually learned how to keep herself above water, spit the water out if it gets in her mouth, and close her mouth. They don't hold her up as much as the puddle jumper, but I feel like she became so much more confident in the water. By the end of the first day she was able to swim without us holding her. She will be 2 in a couple of weeks. The ones I bought are made by speedo, they are a fabric swimmie. I got them in Target.

It may not be small enough in length and I don't think he will like this. Plus it will be uncomfortable to hold him I would think?

Even though we have him in swimming lessons, he isn't very comfortable with getting his face wet yet not even during bath time.

I think I'm just going to get the puddle jumper. I was holding him the entire time when he was wearing it and he was doing fine. If I tried to just hold his hands he would freak out. We aren't in a pool much (other than his weekly swimming lessons and the wading pool) but now that we are getting an intex pool , that may make him more confident in the water. I will be in the pool with my boys anyway.

I bought this for DS when he was about 22 months and it looked ridiculous on him. LOL! Looked like a dress. He was miserable and I didn't even get a chance to fully put it on. Chat Icon
I just use the regular puddle jumper for DS and he is fine. He is thin too, but I stay with him the entire time in the pool. He usually plays on the steps anyway.

I have my 18 month old in a vest. we bought it for ont he boat but we use it in the pool too.

My DS is super skinny. and we tried the puddle jumper and a few other things and the vest worked best.

We used a puddle jumper for my almost 2 year old last year and she was about 22lbs. You can adjust the back pretty tightly.

My neice is pretty tiny and wears the puddle jumper. I think she is 23-24lbs too and is 22 mos. My sister just stays near her in the pool to make sure she is safe.
