1st trip to dentist?
When did you take dc to the dentist for the 1st time?
Dd will be 2.5 next month.

Ds was 2.5. It just worked out that dh and I had appointments around the time he turned 2.5. Our dentist has 4 kids, and is comfortable doing peds, so we just had her look in ds's mouth in between our appointments. He did fine! She had me bring him back while she was finishing up DHs exam, so he could see what was going on. Then, she had DS lay on top of dh in the chair while she checked his teeth. She didn't do a cleaning... Just counted his teeth and checked for cavities and general ok-ness

I took ds at 2yo and will again when he is 3. Then every 6 months for a cleaning.

I just took DD today and she is 2yr.3m.
If you are looking for a pediatric dentist, I take the kids to ap dental studio in manalapan. I used to take them to Dr. Matthew Safari, he is in Little Silver. Not sure which is closer. I switched because the hours just didn't work out for me and he was about a 25 minute ride from my house.

Took my dd at 2.5 and she had a cleaning and her teeth counted and checked. It went way better than I expected.

My ped told me in the third year. I didn't and caught hell for it at the 4 year visit. (not really hell but, I was told to take him.)
He will go this summer.

I'm with Tricia. Ped told us 3, I have yet to take him. He has fear of drs but needs to go for prek in September.

DS was almost 2.5 when we first took him to the dentist. Going back next week for his 6 month check up.

4yo.... boy was I lucky it was only one cavity...I guess the fluoride vitamins belped a lot...
