I'm quiet during previews... That's like the start of the theatre experience... I like to see what's coming out next... Although I do think they tend to overdo it with how many they show

I'll make many more comments about the preview than I ever would a movie, but I keep them to a whisper. Once the lights are dim, I'm quiet!

I dont really chat during them but it doesnt bother me if people talk too loudly during them. I think the previews have gotten way too long.

Wow I am shocked. I also live in NC so maybe things are different down here, because there was a quiet buzz of conversation through the whole theater. We were not the only ones talking. But thanks for the feedback

Not sure how common courtesy is a regional thing?
ETA: Even if you weren't the only ones talking, once it was clear you were disturbing the patron in front of you, I am not sure why a "verbal fight" was necessary.

Never talk. Maybe a whisper if I have a quick remark about the preview. But I would be mortified if I was disturbing someone, there's no way I would break into any sort of verbal fight.

no, we pretty much quiet down during previews except for the occasional comment about the preview we are watching. To be honest, I think the chatting from people behind me annoy me more than in front of me. Weird, I know, but I would have been annoyed as that guy, sorry.

I'm not a huge preview fan but I don't really talk during them. I don't really see talking as 'off limits' like I do during the movie but I keep any chatting brief and to a whisper. I wouldn't have a normal volume, full on conversation during them.
The regular commercials (which I hate btw) are fair game, I don't think there's any issue with talking during those.

I usually comment on the previews if I want to see the movie.
I don't care if others around me are talking unless they are obnoxiously loud.

I find this so funny that people need to tell me I am rude or wrong. There was a ton of people around us who were quietly talking, not just us. This man did not just say hey can you keep it down or be polite about it. He turned around with an attitude. Thanks for all of the opinions
