Do you chat during movie previews?
I went to the movies with my SIL, MIL, DH's Aunt and my niece on Sunday. We saw Heat(hysterical BTW) We got there at 12:45 and show time was 1:10, but the movie didn't start until 1:43 Anyway, we were quietly chatting during a good portion of the previews. There were other people talking around us as well. My MIL is looking for a new house, we talked about that a lot, just random stuff. After about 10 minutes of this guy sitting in font of us, he turns around and says, Are we going to have to listen to this the whole movie? So a verbal fight ensued and ended with me telling him to simmer down. So-do you chat quietly during previews?

Depends if I want to see the preview or not but yes sometimes we do I don't see anything wrong with it as long as the talking stops when the movie stops

i enjoy previews. i don't need to hear other convos during them. i need to hear whats going on.

It wasn't dark. They did turn the lights way down once the movie started

maybe that's the difference. I think its annoying as hell that they show 10-15 previews and commercials before a movie!

commercials are one thing. they show them on a loop but to me previews are different

Do you chat during movie previews?
Sorry, but I enjoy the previews and find it annoying when people talk through them. I don't mind during the commercials and stuff before the previews, but not during the actual previews - whether they've turned the lights all the way down or not.

No - I don't talk during the previews.
It is annoying though how many previews they have now before the movie starts. We took DS to see Monsters University and if there wasn't 25 minutes of previews - he may have made it through the entire movie!!!

We enjoy previews. I might say something to DH like, "That looks good," or, "no way are you dragging me to that," but overall, we're quiet. It would annoy me if someone was talking through them. The commercials before the movie start time are fine to talk through. Once it's the time that the movie "starts", it's time to be quiet, IMO.

Not really. Maybe an occasional whisper to say that a movie looks good or bad. But usually I just do a thumbs up or thumbs down. I loooove previews!

I'm quiet during previews... That's like the start of the theatre experience... I like to see what's coming out next... Although I do think they tend to overdo it with how many they show

commercials are one thing. they show them on a loop but to me previews are different
ITA! We don't watch tv much at home. We don't even have cable. So those previews are the only commercials I normally see. I enjoy seeing what new movies will be coming out. During the movie previews its rude to talk. Just because you don't enjoy them, doesn't mean other paying customers feel the same way.

Commercials are one thing. Once the previews starts anyone talking around me I do find rude and I will tell them to shush.
If people want to chat - then they should stay outside the theater until the actual film starts.

Many people enjoy previews so no, I would not chat during previews. Many people take it just as seriously as the actual movie you paid to see, kwim?
