Vacation tips and tricks
Have any tried and true tips, tricks or advice for everyone's upcoming family vacations??
Plane, train, car or otherwise- what do you do to save time, money, or sanity?
I'll start- we never leave home without DD's travel potty. Saves us from finding and then using yucky restaurant or gas station restrooms.

Vacation tips and tricks
Package each kids outfit complete with diaper or underwear and socks into a ziplock. Makes it easier to just grap a ziplock and have an entire outfit ready
I always bring a few garbage bags for dirty clothes if I can't do laundry there
Hit up dollar store for crayons paper

Vacation tips and tricks
We've only done road trips with DD.
When DD was an infant I would pack a pop up laundry basket to throw all of her dirty clothes, burp cloths, etc.
I always pack a small separate bag with everything she needs for bed so that I have everything handy if we get home late. I put her white noise machine, monitor, musical seahorse, and sleepsack in there.
I put my small diaper caddy in the backseat for easy diaper changes. It has a changing pad, diapers, wipes, ointment, and plastic bags so I don't have to dig around for them. Then when we get wherever we're going I can just bring it in and leave it wherever we'll be changing DD.
For rear facing kiddos, we used packing tape to attach a portable dvd player to the top of a cardboard box and seatbelted it next to DD. It was a lifesaver when we were stuck in traffic for 5 hours a few weeks ago. The Sesame Street Kids Favorite Songs is the best $8 I have ever spent!

Love this idea!
I always buy diapers/wipes/food at my destination to cut back on packing. Get a hotel room with a fridge for storing milk/food.
Bring a new toy for car/plane ride.
