Getting induced tomorrow
Any advice or words of encouragement for those that have gone through it? I'm nervous but excited to finally meet and hold her.

Have a nice leisurely meal! I was induced too....and the anticipation of the day was incredible.
Oh yeah......an epidural!

Oh for sure an epi. I have to be there at 7am and I was told not to eat....I would prob be too anxious to eat anyway.

Your not supposed to eat, but if you do, don't tell them you did.
I was induced with my 3rd. She was 8 days late. It took 6 hrs start to finish.
Enjoy your last day. Relax. Eat an early dinner. Sleep. Good luck!

Good luck! I was induced, and I remember being super bored in the hospital room. Was admitted at 4pm, but didn't get Pitocin until 10:30pm! So, bring magazines or an iPad to keep you occupied.

Good luck!
I was induced with DS 1 and had a successful induction - was admitted around 7amish and they started Pitocin at 8:30-9ish and DS came that evening at 9:10pm.

Question, so I'm not dilated at all. Is that a big deal? Does it increase my chance of a csection? Dr didn't seem so.

no, i was not dilated when I was induced (my water broke). they put in cervadil to help dilate me. i didn't even need the pitocin after that because the cervadil did the trick and i got contractions afterward. i gave birth vaginally. good luck!!!

I know its hard not knowing what to expect, but it goes so fast and soon your baby will be in your arms. Its ok to be scared and nervous...best of luck!!!

Same here but I was maybe 1cm which is nothing.

Congrats! Relax, eat, rest. Bring magazines, books. Am I forgetting something? Oh yeah, EPI EPI EPI!

PS - With DS I was not dilated at all - my water broke though - I was induced around 10am and gave birth at 3:28pm. Nice and easy.

I ate and drank tons of water right before I went in to be induced. I'm so glad I did bc I was in labor for 24 hours and they wouldn't let me have anything to drink till after she was born! So EAT and DRINK!! LOL
Other than that, enjoy the moment, and def get the Epi

I read on another post that you're using HH. Who's your drs? I was induced at HH and had a beautiful experience.
They have a mirror that you can ask for to see how effective your pushes are. It was so amazing!
