Those with 3 or more kids...will/guardian question
Dh and I have to do our will and decide who we would want to ask to take our kids in the event something happens to us.
We have 3 kids and I feel like that is a huge thing to ask anyone especially if that have kids of their own. Obviously they would be taken care of financially by our life insurance but I still feel like it is a lot to ask.
If you don't mind sharing who you asked and if they have kids of their own. I should add that my sister and dhs sisters live oos. My brother and his wife life here but I don't think I would ask him

I only have 2 kids but, each of our choices have 2 kids already as well.
Since we're both only children - we asked DH's cousin as our first choice and his best friend as our second choice. The first choice was easy, we didn't realize we had to add a second choice which took a little more thinking.
We felt that they would both honor our wishes, raise them to be good people, and would work to keep the kids close to the family.

I only have one child. And we have chosen my brother who is in a long term relationship but doesnt have any children.
I think its very considerate of you to consider whether or not they have children of their own and the additional burden it will be but, if my brother had 6 kids, Id still ask him. I'd want my DD with the BEST person possible!

We chose my parents...but they are def on the young side, and could handle it.

My Brother and my SIL. They have 3 kids of their own... My DH and I are the appointed guardians for their children as well.

I only have 2 but hope to eventually have 3. Regardless, I want my parents to have them. I'm pretty sure DH agrees as there aren't any other great contenders. We both have siblings but I just can't see asking any of them to take on that role of caring or our children for the rest of their lives. It just seems like asking too much and I hate to say it but I would worry that they'd wind up being second class citizens if the couple had kids of their own, kwim?
