When did your newborn start ...

Having fun? It's my third time around and I can't remember when they start enjoying and interacting with people and toys. My two older DS really want there little brother's attention but he's only 4 week old. I know he's still so little. But I can't wait for him to laugh and smile at them and to sit in a bouncy seat happily.

At 3 months old my DS loves to watch his brother and sister. It probably started a few weeks ago. He like to hold things and put them in his mouth. He also likes to look at himself in his mirror

It's hard for me to say since when DD was little she didn't have any siblings to interact with - just me & DH and we were smitten and thinking she was the most WONDERFUL & TALENTED thing right from day 1. lol. (we were a little biased).

But I feel like I, personally, started having more fun with her when she was around 3 or 4 months because her personality started coming out more with her giggles and interest in everything around her.

However, I started babysitting a little boy 8 months ago. He was 6 months at the time and only really started interacting with DD and having fun with her maybe 3 months ago when he began to walk around. Now she gets him toys and they are just so cute together (makes me excited to give her a sibling) but before this he really didn't show much interest in her which gave her very little interst in him (in fact she was mostly just annoyed with his entire presense just in general). It wasn't until he was close to a year that he became her buddy.

My DS is 3 months old and prolly the last 2 weeks or so he has been interacting with his older brother...he loves to just hang in his room and "babble" to him

My DS at 2 months enjoys hearing his brother talk to him and he will coo back and also smile
