Family vacation?
Where are you going this year? I'm trying to get some ideas for a vacation. Does anybody know of a relatively inexpensive location that is child friendly? My dd is 2 so I'm looking for things for her to do as well. I would prefer a beach as well!!!

Family vacation?
I am doing a week in Hutchinson island in Sept. We are retning a condo for 500 for the week.
Not a party type place but beach and pools is all I need.

We did St Pete Beach/Clearwater Fla a few years ago and it sounds exactly like what you are looking for. It was a fantastic vacation. Search for my name and St Pete to find my review on the travel bd.

My parents have a house on a Lake in SC- so we're going there (with my parents and my Sister and her family).
If we weren't doing that- we would've done long weekends in Lancaster and somewhere else.
I can't travel much past July because I'm pg with #3 and due in early September.

We are doing St. Pete's Beach, FL (gulf side) heard great things and cost about $2,000 for 3 of us, car, hotel and flight. Staying at the Trade Winds Resort.

I was definitely considering myrtle beach. But is there anything for my dd? I'm a little nervous there won't be anything for her to do.

I recently took my son to yogi bear's jellystone park campground. it's an RV campground. They have several all over the U.S. You can rent a cabin for the weekend. the one we went to in VA was along the river and there was fishing & paddleboats there was also 2 pools...an adult swimming pool and a kids pool with water features and a water slide. they have daily activities planned for kids like the "hey ride" where the yogi bear characters get on a hay ride with all the kids and shout "hey" to all the campers. they have a playground area and the sites usually have fire pits as well.
camping isn't everyones cup of tea but we really enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle.
