changing pad on dresser
does anyone use a regular dresser with a changing pad on top of it? does the pad get secured onto the dresser somehow?
dd is 4 months but we are thinking of getting different furniture for her room which would mean getting rid of her changing table - just wondering how safe it is to have a changing pad on the dresser or if we should keep things as is

We bought that non-skid material that people use to line kitchen cabinets with (so that glasses don't slide) and put that under the changing pad. It doesn't budge now.

Same - we used the non-slip rug pad thing.
No issues.

I have non skid underneath tpo. But mine also has a clip that attaches to the back of the dresser.

I did. My DH nailed the strap to the back of the dresser and under the top in front, inside the drawer to keep it steady.

I also used a non-skid liner underneath and it doesn't move at all.

Our changing top is huge (it's the slide top one from Belini) so we had to use both the non-skid and also anchor it to the dresser with screws.
But, the screws are on the back, so won't be visible when the changer comes off.

We attached ours to the back of DS's dresser. It took 2 minutes and I feel it's safer.

We have ours on top of a dresser too. DH built a surround for it (like some more expensive dressers have) and we nailed the strap to that. We also put one of those non slip kitchen mats under it too, so it's not going anywhere! we did that so we could eventually take the surround piece off and keep as a regular dresser.
