Infant Virus and/or Infant Diarrhea
Any BTDTs? How long does a virus last, specifically how long does diarrhea caused by a virus last? My 10 month old DD had diarrhea and by night 2 it was just getting worse so on day 3 i took her to the dr. and they confirmed via stool sample that she had a virus. But they don't do anything for it, it has to run its course. But meanwhile her stool isn't getting any more normal. My poor baby is in discomfort and i have been awake since 1am changing diapers hourly... I need someone to tell me she is going to get better soon!!

tiny tot had a tummy virus a few weeks ago. she had diarrhea for almost a week. her stool was back to normal by day 9. hth

I think my DD had diarrhea that lasted from 4-6 days.
I know it can go much longer.
I just kept giving her rice and bananas to try and bind.

Ease off on the dairy it makes it worse. Try yogurt. Make sure it has live cultures in it. Try Florastar for kids. White grape juice is good too. Helps heal the intestinal tract. Give her binding foods. Banana's, rice, etc.... tay away from a lot of fruits right now.

Infant Virus and/or Infant Diarrhea
DD had a virus and the diarrhea lasted about 4 days. Feed LO the BRAT diet, that worked for DD.
