4-6 month olds
how many oz per bottle is your LO taking?
DD is taking 5 six oz bottles
8am
12am
4pm
630
230am
She is draining them so I am going to push her up to 7oz and I am hoping she drops the 230am bottle once we add solids. I feel like 7oz is SO much but she is not leaving a drop in her 6oz bottles.
How much does your LO weigh and how many oz are they taking per day?

DD will be 5 months on wed. She was 14 pounds at her 4 month visit. She was drinking 4-5oz about every 2 hours. But sometimes she doesn't finish a bottle and sometimes she has 6-7oz latley. So I think we are going to try all her bottles at 6oz and see of she is consistently finishing that amount.
We just changed to a bigger nipple. So maybe she will drink more since she isn't working as hard to get it.
And maybe she will drink more less times in the day

She doesnt eat in the middle of the night... she is doing about 5 sometimes 6 7oz bottles a day.

im curious about this too...
DD is 4 months and breast feeds when i am home but when at daycare she gets 3, 5oz bottles each day.
here is her schedule:
5:30am - breast fed but not a full feeding
7:30am - breast fed but again not a full feeding
9am - 5oz bottle
noon - 5 oz bottle
3pm - 5oz bottle
6pm - breast fed
9pm - breast fed or 3oz bottle (depends if she is sleeping or not)
i am curious if she is eating enough - i have her appt on saturday so ill see if the weight gain is ok
i just bumped her up from 4.5oz to 5oz bottles last week

lol it actually happened on accident... i picked her up waiting for the bottle to be ready and we both fell back to sleep.

there aren't enough hours in the day to squeeze in a 5th bottle which is why she is waking at night.
she falls asleep around 630 for the night  so she wakes at 230 (which is 8 hours) then back to sleep until 630 ish. I think we are in for the long haul with this middle of the night feeding.

I am hoping that by upping her to 7oz x 4 and adding solids, she will get what she needs and be able to sleep through the night. That would be 28oz when she is taking 30ish now. Heres to hoping

DD will be 6 months this Friday. She takes 4 8oz bottles at the following times, 7am, 11am, 3pm and 7pm - so about 32oz per day.
She also gets oatmeal around 8am and then veggies around 6pm.
We think she weighs just over 15lbs, but will know for sure at her 6 month check up next Tuesday.

My Son is almost 6 months and pretty close to that. He nurses twice in the morning as well-around the same times. then get's 4 4oz bottles at daycare. I tried uping it to 5 oz but he wasn't finishing them and I don't want to waste BM. He seems ok with the 4 4oz; and every day I send a 5th emergency bottle with just 3 oz. Sometimes it comes home empty; some times he doesn't touch it. I think as long as her weight gain is good. (My son's has been) it seems like a good feeding schedule.

Why not wake her around 9:30 for a final bottle? It may help her sttn. If DS is sleeping, we usually wake him by 8:30, play with him, bathe him (every other night), PJs and then final bottle at 9:30 so he goes through the night.
He's 4.5 months old and has 6, 6oz bottles each day. Once in a while he'll take an 8oz bottle if he's really hungry.

DD takes five 6 oz bottles 5:30, 8:30, 11:30, 2:30, 5:30. She goes down for the night at 6:30 and is up between 5 and 5:30.
At her 5 month visit she was 16.5 lbs.

DD is 8 months and is still taking 5 bottles a day. I offer a 7 oz bottle (6oz but once prepared it is a total of 7oz) sometimes she finishes it, sometimes not.
I notice your LO is taking bottles every 4 hours though. We get 5 bottles in because she takes it every 3 hours. So you may want to offer more so LO gets enough calories before bedtime. One extra ounce in each daytime bottle is 4 ounces... maybe you wouldn't have to give that 5oz bottle at night.

DS is 4 months, he is probably around 12-12.5 lbs now and he takes (5) 6oz bottles a day. Once he bumped to 6oz at 2 months old he dropped his one night feeding and started STTN from 8-8:30pm to 6:30-7:30am.

How old is your DD? At around 6 months we started solids and my DD was able to make it more than 8-9 hours. I am not sure if it was the solids or just her age.
We put her down later though….8-8:30pm so she was up anywhere from 5-6am and slowly she stretched that out and made it through the night till 8am. It started happeneing right around 6 months and I never changed anything except the solids.
(My DD was breastfed and I have no idea just how much she takes in.)
