Li aquarium,
The beach (I'd stick to a local one)
Various fairs and festivals
Visiting parks
Ecology site
Various museums
A 7 month old will kinda just be looking around at things and can't really "do" stuff yet if u know what I mean so you still kinda have some options for stuff that's fun for you as well. I love doing thing like going to the towns that have a Main Street feel and walking around...

Summer activities/stay cation
DS was a bit older than that last summer, but we did the Long Island Game Farm, the beach, & the NY aquarium last summer. We had a great time at all of them!
